What’s in your gun safe?

You guys must be compensating for your small.....

Trucks.

Yeah... that's it.

Ohhh wait..

You say you all have BIG trucks ...

Hmm..

Me too.

🤔

.
Courtesy of the marine corps I’ve seen more dicks than most women. I know where I’m at on the scale

Hence the lifted truck 😎

^ ^ ^ One o' them new S&Ws! Model 1854, 20" threaded.

How do you like it? Do you own any Marlin for comparison?

Cool beans either way. You suck! :ROFLMAO:

I sold off all Winchester and Marlin old 30-30's, dies, ammo, many years ago.
The new Winchester (edit- actually a SW) feeds and shots flawlessly, action is super smooth. I'm impressed with it.

The can is the cats meow for a 44 MAG

I wanted simple lever action truck gun for pigs that was good to about 100 yards.
The open sites are a challenge for me on anything over 50-60 yds, so the rifle will get a red dot or a scope soon

I cannot part with even a clone: a blue 16" Rossi 1892 in .357.

My Browning/Winchester/Miroku .44 RemMag 1892 is a prize, but w/ it's metal buttplate I load for it some .44-40 level ballistics in Magnum brass using a moly coated 205 gr LRN. 1100 fps for plinkin'.

I've six Marlin: a 1951 39A pre-Microgroove, a 1989 1894CS357 (18.5"), a 2007 1894FG I found new and unfired (20") for which I can load mild to wild using mostly 210 gr semijacketed or cast (I clean the barrel betwixt the two), a 2018 SuperClusterF*** Remington Marlin that should have never left the factory floor - an 1894SBL .44 Mag on which I nutured back to health and is a great shooter (among other things I had to pressure lap the bore), a 1968 SRC 336 Texas carbine .30-30 and my favorite these days a 2005 1895GS (18.5") for which I load mostly Trapdoor safe loads to plink with. I've some Woodleigh SJFP to build some hunting loads but have yet to do so.

I new Ruger Marlin is on the list as is your S&W 1854. I don't need to fill many more spots in the safe. I want to get my loading bench cleared of my camper trailer project. I miss the brass prep (kidding, but it's the foundation for great ammo).

Have you considered a ghost ring setup such as the XS Sights Systems stuff? I swear by 'em.

Winchester comes standard with a ghost ring, super nice. Problem is my cataracts / vision so scope is easiest solution

I’m confused as usual… is that not the new(ish) Smith & Wesson 1854?
My Bad....

I keep calling it a Winchester lever gun, but it is really a S&W !

pretty consistent.

What round, what gun
6 PRC pushing a 108 ELDM. It currently meets my standards for consistency, but it has room for improvement. Laziness has kept me from tuning the load more though. I had a load for it that pushed 3300, but it wasn’t quite as consistent as I’d have liked and I was running out of that powder anyways.
