What’s in your gun safe?

I shoot all my rifles suppressed, and on the occasion that I happen to be at the pit with a hunting buddy sighting in or practicing, I’m quickly reminded what it’s like to not shoot suppressed.

I’m trying noise canceling ear buds now when I’ve got my shotgun. They are ok but in the wind they suck.
we have several sets of each, honestly I like the wired GS extremes the best. simpler to operate IMO

Almost ordered the AXIL’s but read they fail after about a year.

I ended up with the ISOtunes Sport.

They are larger than I would like, and in the wind they aren’t great.

I need to try the AXIL’s

we have 4 sets of the wired, and one died. Since then I bought the 2 year warranty for the rest of them, and of course now they last a long time.

Just picked up an sig mcx pistol in 300 blackout. I was watching a few YouTube vids and I just learned a bit about FRT (😎) and trip bars (😎). Anyone running these on any platforms? Just curious. 🤔. I have a few other guns I could enjoy modding with these.

Right now my plan is to convert the MCX to a SBR and swap out the brace for a light weight stock (likely the sig one)

Red dots and holographic options are also being considered. I like my AimPoint Pro that I run on other rifles, but I want to try other options. The vortex razor AMG UH-1 second generation has caught my eye, and I really never have liked the eotech stuff - not sure why. I’ve not had much experience with them, so I have no valid reason.

I am also shopping for a suppressor. Considering the Hexium from Sig, but it’s not available yet.

Anyway…anyone running a set-up like this?
Hey buddy, I have a .300 blk setup up with a FRT and then I have a .223 setup with an echo trigger. They are fun and show stoppers but I really don't use them much since they can run through a ton of ammo. I prefer my SBRs with Geissele precision triggers, just my opinion.

Me too. I don't mess with braces, FRT, SBR (no 5.56mm), or full auto on my dime.

Thank you! They really will allow you to empty the ol’ wallet on ammo cost. I watched a few Garand Thumb videos and I was hooked on the idea.

Maybe a 5.56 is a better option than my 300 blk just due to that cost option, but I really want to run subs with it suppressed.

I have played with several FRT’s but I prefer my Geissele triggers.

Eotechs are some most combat proven optics you can get. Aimpoint as well.

I run both for different guns, Aimpoint T1 has a 5 year battery life and is damn near indestructible.

Eotech is one of the most intuitive, both eye open optics for anyone to shoot. There’s no parallax on a holographic site. Given the lack of effective range on a 300aac shorty, I’d run a tall riser.

I have a DD PDW with Eotech EXPS and a GBRS riser. Unity makes good risers too, I ran theirs with a flip to center magnifier when they first came out.

If it’s a gun that’s gonna stay in the truck or elsewhere for extended periods of time, run the Aimpoint. If it’s a gun you’re going to handle often I’d run an Eotech.

I’ve messed up a couple Eotechs doing dumb things and they’ve always been repaired for free by Eotech, in a timely manner. I’ve never had an Aimpoint fail or need repair in any capacity.
Maybe I need to try the eotech. I sure have a bunch of friends who run them.

This will not be a truck gun, but more of a sexy biotch build. I’ve wanted to have one like this for years. Got a wicked deal on it - can’t wait to try it!

Don't get me wrong man, they are a ton of fun! Guess it just depends on what your intention is. Range gun is super fun, home defense or truck gun, not very practical.

Now cans are a different story, I just purchased 2 last month due to killer deals and changing laws and suppressed is the only way to go!

edit: just read your earlier post about it not being a truck gun. FWIW, I just numerous eotechs and love them

It’s absolutely suppressor season! Haha!

Have you tried the Vortex?

...Have you tried the Vortex?

I just handled one of those last week. Seems to be a solid sight. I use a few Vortex scopes, the razors are very good.

At work we had Trijicon products on damn near everything. Some of my gear rocks Trijicon.

Anyone have a pistol brace that they love and would recommend? I need to finally put together my LaRue upper/lower kit for my .300 blackout and don’t want to pin and weld the muzzle brake so figured just throw on a pistol brace instead
Tailhook Mod 2 for adjustable. Mod 1 for fixed.

Cans are definitely fun. I have a CMMG Banshee in .45 ACP that I run suppressed. Pretty much equivalent to .300 Blackout suppressed equivalent out to 75 yds. Also, .22LR suppressed (especially a bolt action) is silly fun.

That sounds like a total blast!

Picture window (there is a blue glare) compared to EoTech.
Didn't notice it. A blue tint won't affect my ability to hit a target. IMO everything offered by Vortex is consumer grade. There is a wide range of quality across their product lines..

I moved away from EOTech a decade ago. I find it hard to do business with a company that can't be trusted. I'm not good at forgiving.
