What’s in your gun safe?

Please don't use a shotgun or flamethrower on moles; you will hurt yourself. Just go to the doctor and get them laser removed. It's that simple! 🤪

I have the urge to build another AR15 and I am going between another 204 or the new 22 ARC. I will be used for target shooting, prairie dogs, and coyotes. Do any of you have any experience with the 22 ARC? I am leaning that way
*cough* Grendel *cough*

It’s all about what you like to shoot, in general. I got rid of 10mm as it kicks too much. 9mm is much more enjoyable. To each his own. .45acp is a good round too.
Cheers 🍻
i gotta admit I'm a .45acp snob

even have shot shells for them

takes care of the moles & snakes too

but also agree "to each their own"
don't understand it though
😂🤣😂🤣😂

just to have something different??
just to have 1 cause no one else does?
i can understand, i guess

availability
cost
and no one else
shtf - useless

I'd want something more economical feasible & readily available

ammo cost are still stupid high. going with something that might not be avaliable & is even higher ammo cost.

I'd think it through before i got too far into it?????

I guess for something different. I have a few .223's and built the wife a .204 last year and thinking I may just fo that route since we already have ammo for that caliber. Have had all the parts but the barrel for a few years and started shooting bolt actions ran across the box of parts the other day and it got me thinking.

I had a judge that used to live under the seat in my truck...until i spent the night in a San Antonio hotel. She gone now.
Ypu be the judge 👨‍⚖️

Just picked up an sig mcx pistol in 300 blackout. I was watching a few YouTube vids and I just learned a bit about FRT (😎) and trip bars (😎). Anyone running these on any platforms? Just curious. 🤔. I have a few other guns I could enjoy modding with these.

Right now my plan is to convert the MCX to a SBR and swap out the brace for a light weight stock (likely the sig one)

Red dots and holographic options are also being considered. I like my AimPoint Pro that I run on other rifles, but I want to try other options. The vortex razor AMG UH-1 second generation has caught my eye, and I really never have liked the eotech stuff - not sure why. I’ve not had much experience with them, so I have no valid reason.

I am also shopping for a suppressor. Considering the Hexium from Sig, but it’s not available yet.

Anyway…anyone running a set-up like this?

I have played with several FRT’s but I prefer my Geissele triggers.

Eotechs are some most combat proven optics you can get. Aimpoint as well.

I run both for different guns, Aimpoint T1 has a 5 year battery life and is damn near indestructible.

Eotech is one of the most intuitive, both eye open optics for anyone to shoot. There’s no parallax on a holographic site. Given the lack of effective range on a 300aac shorty, I’d run a tall riser.

I have a DD PDW with Eotech EXPS and a GBRS riser. Unity makes good risers too, I ran theirs with a flip to center magnifier when they first came out.

If it’s a gun that’s gonna stay in the truck or elsewhere for extended periods of time, run the Aimpoint. If it’s a gun you’re going to handle often I’d run an Eotech.

I’ve messed up a couple Eotechs doing dumb things and they’ve always been repaired for free by Eotech, in a timely manner. I’ve never had an Aimpoint fail or need repair in any capacity.

Anyone have a pistol brace that they love and would recommend? I need to finally put together my LaRue upper/lower kit for my .300 blackout and don’t want to pin and weld the muzzle brake so figured just throw on a pistol brace instead

I retired about 2 years ago. My plan has always been to liquidate my collection after I retire and before I die. I don't want my wife to have to deal with it.

I sold the best half of my gun collection last year and it paid for about half of our Tremor. Still have a bunch of reloading presses and components to sell off. And lots of accessories from years of LEO, Nuclear Security, and competitions.

Difficult for some guys to do.

I sold off all my reloading stuff, primers, dies, powder, bullets, etc 2 years ago. Been reloading since the 1980's.

Honestly I am glad to be rid of it. That sale Paid for a several fun guns like the Winchester above with the can.

I use the same can for hunting. It's very versatile, but on the large size. I have a couple other cans dedicated to specific calibers.

The ringing in my ears rarely stops, I need to protect what's left. I wish I had protected my hearing when younger.

I shoot all my rifles suppressed, and on the occasion that I happen to be at the pit with a hunting buddy sighting in or practicing, I’m quickly reminded what it’s like to not shoot suppressed.

I’m trying noise canceling ear buds now when I’ve got my shotgun. They are ok but in the wind they suck.
