You may have a sizable market for these in Oregon if the new requirements for FFLs make it through, one of which is that all ammunition must be locked up in approved enclosures.

Do you do safe room doors/frames and install?

No, there is too much competition in the vault door space for MVI to make bespoke vault doors.

I tell customers they can buy a decent door for under $2K, like this

of course you can (and probably should ) spend more, fire rating, etc.

We do make door Frames if the customer has drawing or blueprint. I only do install work locally to DFW

Usually the installs locally are for cast iron gates like this one for a customer.
Might be more appropriate for a wine cellar door vice a gun safe door LOL

They are mid gut-and-stuff as we speak. If this garbage makes it though, I'll let you know 👍

An early draft of that law made it illegal for an Oregon police officer to possess a "high capacity" magazine unless the officer was "on duty" or "at home". That made perfect sense to the anti-gun lobby, but it was impossible for the cops, most of whom are at least occasionally deployed to multi-day training or special events in other parts of the state. Under that draft, as soon as deployed cops go off duty in their hotel rooms they're in violation of the law -- because they're required to remain in possession of their duty weapons. (For example, during the Portland riots, over 100 state troopers from all over the state were deployed to Portland for weeks... It's not like the clerk at the Holiday Inn was going to store 200 to 250 weapons at the front desk... and that wouldn't be legal under the law in any event, but cops can't be expected to work a 10 to 12 hour shift, then make a 3-6 hour drive home to go off duty, just in time to make the 3 to 6 hour drive back to go back on duty.) Apparently, nobody thought to ask any cops or military personnel if parts of the proposed law would impair performance of basic basic duties. I'm told that section of the law was amended/removed, but who knows what will come next?

Looking at Beretta A300's, any of y'all got any time behind one?

My wife likes her A300

It's ok for an entry level gun.

I do prefer my A400 and SBE3 over the A300, but they are twice the price. Cabelas and Bass Pro usually run the A300 on sale near dove season. We got her A300 for $695 last year , which was a deal I thought.

[edit] she did loose the charging handle in the field dove hunting when the gun was new, Sept 2024, it literally fell out while hunting. I called Beretta and they send a new one, no questions asked. I did file fit the new one, no issues since.

My wife started with an A302 many years past. Very nice shooting gun. We had the gun cut and fitted to her which made a world of difference.

The A300 is a different gun though but it looks like the reviews are pretty strong.
