WARN Winch Option, Updates?

That would make it so the upfitter switches would be required for the winch?!? I hadn't heard anyone that has been able to add the winch to their order mention that, but doesn't necessarily mean anything. That would be good info to know though.
I honestly don't know if you need the switches but I know from the factory they winch it to the aux switch so your not putting a aftermarket switch in the truck but there are video on how to add upfitter switches to the 2017-2019 super duty should be the same but look at YouTube

I have upfitter switches I just hadn't seen those two options tied together. It's a $165 add so worth it which is why I added them anyway.

Most of if not all of the new winches are wireless.

you will be surprised how many winches are wireless i have 2 smittybuilt 10k winches and they have a wired and wireless controller and it was $450 for one

my buddy is a parts manager for ford i'm going to try & buy all the winch components from him & do it myself. i put a similar winch set up on my 13 raptor it was not that hard

I tried through a friend of mine. The part number for everything was in the computer but showing not available. Keep us posted if you get all the parts or even some of them

6.7 Dual alternators tough to spot but one right and one left lots going on under that hood.

yup.....not what i have........ I have the 240

Same here. F250, 6.7, 240A alternator, and a big hole where a 2nd alternator could be.

My one question is, is the 397A alternator really two 200A alternators? Or is it two 397A alternators?

If it's the former, is it possible to get two 240A alternators or two 332A alternators?

Parts manager for Ford or a Parts Manager at a Ford Dealer? What does he say about the new winch?

Hey all! Just got my truck today. The winch set up is pretty cool. I had asked my dealer to keep the boxes and for a moment he thought they had thrown them away, but... for those needing part numbers here you go! The Ford part number is the winch and the Warn is for the brackets. I talked to the guy who installed it. He said it took him a little over a day as he was being extra careful not to scratch the bumper etc. The wiring goes under the fan shroud to the battery on the passenger side. The “brain” lives behind the driver side fog light.
HEY BUDDY DO YOU KNOW WHAT WAS INCLUDED IN THAT WINCH KIT FROM FORD?

I have a 6.7 Lariat with dual batteries....does that mean i have the 397amp altn? What does this look like on the sticker???
I was unable to build a 6.7 with duel batteries?? I do have the 397 alternator thought. When ever I tried to select duel battery it took the diesel away? ?

The 6.7 diesel comes with 2 batteries. It is not an option that you have to select.

Yes it does

Has anyone ordered a winch from a dealer for a truck that didn't originally come with a winch?

I'm interested in this process, and also if it's possible for a 6.7.

Hope you guys are right
Can confirm this is true .... All diesel trucks that are heavy duty are like this ... At work I have a 1998 Chevy 2500 base model as possible has dual batteries... My 6.7 have duals are well even have a 2008 GMC Sierra with dual batteries it common on diesels and if you get the diesel cab heater you will get 397 alternators also from what I understand the alternators are a 240 amp and a 157 amp making 397amp

Here is a table for your options on alternators

I have a 2020 F250 6.7 with upfitter switches and an inverter = 240A alternator (dual batteries).

So I guess If I wanted to upgrade to 397 for a winch, they would stick a 157 in the 2nd slot, hoping the wiring doesn't need to change too much.

Question: Let's say I wanted my 2nd alternator to help power something else. Could I get another 240 in the place of the 157 for a total of 480? Or could both be upgraded to something even bigger? Or is there pretty much a reason 397's about as much as you'd want.

I looked but I don't think the wiring can be added easily because it is in the same wiring as the original battery and alternator and starter at least on my 6.7
