Vecman's Build - Boyhood Dreams Realized!

The whole thing was coming out, but I didn’t want to pull hard, not pull it all the way out without knowing what I was doing. My thought is to pull it out about 1/4 - 1/2 inch, then get some painters tape around the back and mask off the wheel. Then painters tape off the middle selector part. Just didn’t have time to do that today. It’s gonna have to wait till after Christmas. It shouldn’t be hard, just will take more time than I currently have
Here's a post on how a guy did his: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1639307-coating-the-front-hub-ring.html#post19517999

I have 2 boys, 16 and 14, and we’ve been wanting to get them a smaller truck to drive. Happened to be a Ranger Tremor at the local dealership. Welcome to the club boys!

Very nice holiday present for the boys! Now you just need f150 tremor for a complete family:-)

Is the ranger a star white too, it looks a little cooler color tone to SD tremor.

Oxford. I’ll tell you, I love driving it. It’s a lot of fun. Peppy! My wife has been using it some. She’s loving it so much, she now wants to trade her car in a get another one for her. Haha!

That's cool!!!! Yeah, the 2.3/10spd is a nice powertrain imo. Same as in our bronco and it scoots right along...

Installed the small panel in the center console. Note to self, the smaller openings around the edges are NOT big enough for the included screws. I learned this AFTER I had already marked and drilled my holes. I was able to widen the gap and make it work. Glad it worked out, I was worried a bit. Love this addition.

Also installed the rear release kit tonight (I plan on doing some audio stuff eventually so figured might as well put this in now). Install was easy. @Jericho - I closed it right the first time! Then, reached back to see where the release strap was, pulled up a bit on it to have it reachable, and it released again. So I thought, hey, no problem, closed it easy the first time. Yeah…. Took me 30 damn minutes to close it again, and even when it latched, I’m still not sure what I did right! Haha!

I have the same issue with the back seat release. I can sometimes get the latch to line up and hold them other times I fight it forever. Luckily I leave my rear seats up most of the time so I don’t worry too much. But it would be nice to figure it out !

Did my first upfitter project today. Put in some rear facing lights. I just bought some cheap ones on Amazon ($25) to see how often I use them. If I’m happy, I’m gonna have a local shop do some flush mounted lights in the bumper.

In honor of @BroncoHooves, I also installed the tailgate keeper security thing. But, as an experiment, I color matched mine. I think it turned out great

Banks exhaust done (bolt on the top has since been painted black as well). Someone else on the forum had painted the pipes black. I did the same. Looks fantastic

That's so awesome, you one upped Bronco 🤣 Question about your Banks exhaust, is it touching your spare? If not how did you avoid it? Thanks. Ohh, one last question, what paint did you use for the color match? Is it close, or right on?

I bought some spray cans from a company for touch-ups using my paint color code. I think it’s matched pretty dang close. I could have done 1-2 more layers of the pearly mid-coat. The exhaust has about 1/4-1/2 inch of clearance from the spare. It was barely touching at first, and I just pulled hard on the pipes and it moved away and stayed there.

 Looks familiar and equally awesome. Did you take them out and poke the splines through cardboard?
No. Lol. I took them out, wrapped them in plastic. I was gonna do the cardboard like you did, but couldn’t find a piece I liked! Haha

So glad I did this vs buy the Warns. Just don’t need to replace perfectly good lockers right now - since I just replaced a perfectly good suspension/wheels/tires. lol

Where did you find the star white, I have same. Do you have part number on paint handy?
