Twin Arb Compressor Mount Behind The Rear Seat For 2017+ Superdutys

Which # upfitter switch is everyone using for this install?
I ran mine on #6 w it set to always hot. Haven't had any issues running it w the truck off on the stock batteries. I don't run it long tho. Usually just topping off tires and such. It's nice to be able to fill a wheel barrow or lawn tractor tire without having to go to the house to get my keys.

You know it's the damnedest thing... I had to go back out to the truck after doing a Home Depot run today and decided to blow the dust, etc off the tailgate. Didn't have my keys so had to go back into the house. I thought, maybe I should move the ARB to #5 and make it always hot... 😂

What's the trick to getting the pins out of the clips on the ARB compressor harness? I am trying a pick, nothing is budging. Should I be pushing in the open cavity or behind the blade?

Had a good chat over the phone this afternoon with Troy, the owner of Dirt Church Industries. There are definitely some changes to the cab insulation/applique on the '23+ trucks and it impacts the install process of the compressor kit. Rest assured that Troy/DC is working on updates to the brackets for these newer trucks going forward. I had to make some modifications to the brackets in order to make it work with the thicker insulation but it wasn't a big deal in the end.

I should be done with the entire install tomorrow, I am going to try and take advantage of the cooler weather in morning for the few hours while it lasts before the high of 103F lol. Looking forward to having the compressor kit installed on my truck, the Dual ARB has proven to be so useful in my past rigs over the years. Having a chuck accessible on both sides of the truck should be quite useful and a welcome change from having to connect under the hood like on previous vehicles.

In regards to getting the pins out of the harness, I picked this tool up from Napa, 30-seconds later and I had the wires out of the clip, worth every penny.

Anyone know who has the best pricing on the twin ARB kit, maybe that offers military/LE discounts? Ready to install behind my seat w/kit already purchased, just need the compressor.

Be careful, don’t buy one of the fake ones on the internet. If it’s sounds like too good of a deal, then it’s not a true ARB.
They are around $600. You can find them around major holidays for a small discount & sometimes free shipping.

Check Poly Preformance.

He is who a lot of members have purchased from. I got my ARB compressor from him back in February. Great company to do business with.

I bought the compressor from Dirt Church along with the install kit. This marks my fifth vehicle to have an ARB dual compressor so I am definitely aware of the knock-offs.

It took a little re-engineering for the brackets to work on my '23 due to the change in the cab insulation used. Apparently all trims for '23 have this new rubber backed foam insulation which is over an inch thick in areas. I talked to Troy of Dirt Church and he's going to be coming up with a solution for the brackets on the '23+ trucks here soon, just an FYI for all prospective buyers.

I am very happy with how clean this install turned out thanks to the Dirt Church kit. I am going on seven years now having a vehicle with an ARB Dual Compressor and I wouldn't have it any other way.

@Momma’s Trim! Nick is the man. He's hooked me up on a few things including the ARB twin. Shoot him a message and let him know what you're looking for.
Thank you, both!

Hey @Dirt Church Ind or anybody would you happen to know the part numbers for the 2 ARB delphi connectors? Don't even ask lol jeez.
So arb actually sent me the connectors when I asked what the part numbers were to buy them. Though they didn’t send me with pins. Now I just need to know what pins to buy and what kind of crumpet.

Can anyone confirm if this jack relocation bracket works for the hydraulic bottle jack and bracket that comes with the drw trucks? I had a flat not long ago and had to use the screw type jack…. Absolute garbage. Looking to buy yellow bottle jack and bracket, and this dirtchurch kit is in my future as well. Much appreciated.

That sounds like a great replacement I would be interested also

So just to follow up on this post if anyone searches for it. After asking the question yesterday I found someone local to me selling the red ford jack (6 ton), the bracket and the tool kit. I believe they were offered with the f-550 and above. Possibly even the f-450 cab and chassis.

The bracket fits perfect in the factory spot along with the jack. I do not believe the Red jack and bracket would fit with the dirt church relocation bracket, but no way to compare. Possible to modify to work? Maybe.

As for the yellow jack, I have no idea. From pictures it is certainly smaller than the factory Black screw type bottle jack. It would be nice to hear from someone who’s installed the kit on a 350/450 pickup drw or if someone has access to try it who already has a dirtchurch relocation bracket.

Anyways, I know this is off topic to what the thread is about, but could give an answer to someone who is looking to buy the kit like me. If the yellow jack proves to work I will look to trade my Red 6 ton with a Yellow 4 ton. I am happy to have ditched the factory one.

Last night my wife had the truck running errands and when she started it after leaving the store she said the air compressor turned on and wouldn't shut off, even though the up fitters were not turned on. I had her meet me and I flipped the under hood breaker which thankfully shut it off. This morning I pulled every fuse in the upfitter box and it still would not shut off.

Couple of things:
  1. It's been running great for six months
  2. It's connected to an ignition on upfitter
  3. It won't shut off at all if the breaker is on, even if the upfitter is off, even if the truck isn't even on!
    1. It won't come up to pressure and shut off like normal, it just runs. This issues appeared at the same time the thing had some kind of fault that is allowing it to run with the upfitter off.
So, anyone have a clue as to how or why something that is controlled with an upfitter would suddenly go into a somewhat "hardwired" state where the upfitter seems to be out of the loop? How is this even possible?

Any helpful ideas, suggestions, feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Don’t have mine installed yet, but sounds like a short from the constant 12V power wire to the switched 12V control wire. Not coming up to pressure suggests an issue with the compressor itself. I would contact ARB.
