I respectfully disagree unless you enjoy crowds and bullshit. I avoid most national parks like the plague now unless it's early or late in the year. Between late May and early September I would only go to one of the few I haven't visited. And now with everybody and their brother buying RVs it is insane out there. There were reputable tales of n00bs in their shiny new RVs just camping along the side of the road in Yellowstone last summer and they were even seen dumping their black tanks along the roadside!

I believe it. People are such assholes. In Yosemite they have a huge problem with retarded city folk coming out and feeding bears. Congrats on sharing your vegan avocado veggie soy sandwich with that bear, bc you just signed his death warrant.

Anybody have any pictures of a Tremor with one of these campers: Lance 650, Lance 825, Northstar Liberty? I was looking at pop ups but that's not going to fly with the old lady.

I've got an Antimatter Blue gas F350 Lariat on order. With a winch. Supposed to get my VIN next Wednesday. Yeeeee Haaaaw!

I'm just very impressed with Cirrus' quality and I've done a ton of research.

I don't know my payload for sure but I estimate about 3200-3600? Sure I could carry something larger but I am going to try to just deal with the suspension Ford gives me and see how that goes. I'm not going to beat the crap out of the rig but I'm not going to RV parks either. I want a relatively lightweight semi-overland rig and a truck that I don't have to beef up if I don't want to. I live in south Utah.

These are the numbers from the nuCamp page for the 820. I don't wan't to haul even the dry weight. Just MHO:

Gross Weight (Dry) 2,916 lbs
Gross Weight (Wet) 3,272 lbs

My 7.3 Lariat Ultimate Tremor with no roof has a payload of 3982 to put in into context.

I would think your XLT should be very similar with a roof, and possibly a bit higher without the roof

For those considering Cirrus, Lance etc.... don't count out the Northern Lites. We love ours - VERY well built and insulated. We had a 2013 Camp Lite 6.8 for several years, which was great, but a little primitive compared to the Northern Lite.

Agreed, NL is about the best camper you can get. Just superior construction method being built like a boat. I wish I could afford one... but also don't care for their interiors.

Northern lite also has a very high resale value due to it build quality.

This is an 850 that was posted on another thread. I just canceled my order for an 825 and went with an 850 on a dealers lot. I like the bathroom and storage better in the 850. My truck is a Lariat diesel with the the black out package so it so be a twin to the one purchased below. I do not pick up the camper for about 10 days and will post then.

When I said that I would soon have a twin rig to yours I didn’t know just how exact that might be. I discovered that since I ordered my 825 with an aprox delivery date of April the same dealer got an 850 in. Thus, today I canceled my order and purchased an 850. How do you like yours? It certainly looks great on the back of a black Tremor.

Love the 850. We wanted the Java interior and some other options so drove to Salt Lake City to get it. Only thing I don’t love is the step situation but will be fixing it.
Added Torklift Stableloads and it drives really well. I am adding a stock rear sway bar and then done. I really wanted to stay under Ford’s recommendation of 3300 pounds for loaded slide in camper. Camper will end up more like 3700 loaded, full of water. I also did a full separate charge plug with 4ga wire and a bluetooth shunt so I can watch voltage/current on it; should be able to fully charge the camper’s 2 batteries in a few hours. Have about a week’s worth of camping in it so far and it is really well done. Few teething issues, but nothing big. Jcamper

Lance makes nice in truck campers. I had one on my old pickup but was too big and heavy for her. I traded it for a Hallmark camper with all the options. Now that I have a tremor I miss that Lance 920. It was four seasons with a very nice queen bunk. Hallmark make nice campers too!!!

You are observant! Was taken at Indian Bread Rocks on our way back from the cross-county trip to/from San Diego, last fall, supporting my daughter & son in law's PCS out there from VB.
