New to me F350 Platinum pulling my 36ft KZ Toy Hauler. Just under 1k tongue weight. WD hitch helps with the squat. Feels better then my 19 F250.

I added a $300 set of Sumo Springs and it helped with that last little bit of squat. Super easy to install and not expensive, so it was a no-brainer.

I had those on my 250. Haven't gotten to them on this one yet. I honestly didn't think this one would squat almost the same as my 250 with the bigger spring pack, but it does get close to the same. Also will be doing Bilstein 5100's in the near future.

I added the 5100s this past January. It was well passed time to replace my shocks.

Right before heading down to Delaware Seashore State Park and blocking even more of the sidewalk

It's basically a parking lot campground but it's right by one of my favorite surf fishing spots and I can keep myself aired down for as long as I'm here since the wife will bring her car too.

We’re a little backwards… Instead of the Tremor towing the camper, our camper can tow the Tremor. Last week we only traveled about 70 miles, so my wife just followed me in the truck. This picture was over Memorial Day weekend with the grand kids. We took the Jeep instead of the pickup. That’s the Rogue River behind our campsite. (This RV park is in the Town of Rogue River, OR. It’s right off I-5 and it’s fine if you just need a clean, spot for a night, but the spaces are tiny — far too close for us. We prefer room around us. We’d prefer not to see people we don’t know — but we’ll go almost anywhere to hang with grandkids.) The second picture shows the temporary set up to carry the 41” spare for the RV. The tire, wheel, and carrier are almost 300 pounds.

Spotted another double deuce Tremor at the Otakhi Lake KOA over the weekend.

Also, first trip out w the truck since it got squished. Forgot how much I liked it. Def still the coolest rig at the campground car show.

Not camping, but using my "squaredrop" trailer project for tool and materials haulin' from southern Cal to southern Utah, and for the transport of refrigerated groceries! I have an Engel MT-45 (qt) compressor fridge in it, powered by 300 amp hours' solar-charged electric system. It ain't as fancy as my colleague McE has in his cargo trailer, but a guy has to start somewhere!

The trailer's 16" ride height matched my desert-shooting-spot-goin' F150, but now needs a 4" lift (which can be accomplished using different spindles made by Timbren for the Axle-less independent suspension system this trailer rides on) to closer match my Tremor. I hope to be able to leave the trailer fenders where they are, but the spindle reposition will have the tire/wheel 3/4" farther aft in the fender at ride height but centered (as it is now) under full compression. We'll see.

The 4" lift will better suit the SD Tremor. Note here I have removed the tongue jack - it's three bolts. I have the jack in the bed of the truck, along with a 9/16" socket and a speed handle. Easy peasy!

Hahaha. Very intentional. I absolutely hate being out there with the tightly packed, full sun, pull-thru spots but with all the crazy wind and storms we're still getting this late in the season, I'm not ready roll the dice on a wooded spot.

My recollection - coming in at sunset mind you - was that I actually had doubts I was on the correct road after turning off from the park … followed by the realization that I’d be in a pickle if someone was coming the other way.

Once we checked in it was revealed that we were supposed to call ahead to make sure the road was clear. Better lucky than good, I guess.

Yeah. That is actually a legitimately sketchy road. And it used to be worse before they "widened" it. Lol.
I kinda like that about it though, how off the path it feels.
I've been going out there for a number of years now and have never called ahead, but I also tend to schedule arrival and departure on off hours/days.

This is also the place I once made a wrong turn thanks to Ford nav and ended up fording a section of the St. Francis river w/a 22' TT in tow because the dirt just vanished onto a sandbar with no room to turn around.

And speaking of the sunsets out there... they definitely put the RV spots on the right end of the valley.

Another update from the road ... we've made it out of Kansas, where we had landed at our last check in. We've actually moved through Missouri and Iowa and are now in Minnesota. In Iowa we hooked up with some friends of ours who we'll be traveling with for the next few months. We've had some good times and food. Checked out some cool breweries, and managed to collect another tattoo along the way. It's getting close enough, both in time and distance, that our big event for the year, the 69th Annual Airstream Club International Rally in Minot, ND., is starting to come into focus.

In Iowa we hooked up with some friends of ours who we'll be traveling with for the next few months.
