I had a truxedo pro x-15 on my f-150 and I loved that cover. I would like to get a little bit more security so after reading this thread I think I'm definitely going with the Centruy CT once they come back in stock.

Been quite happy with my CT. It’s one of the fastest covers to remove and reinstall the roll I have found. I seem to constantly finding things to haul that requires the cover removal (not the rails though) and is a breeze with the CT. Another plus not mentioned much is the Ford ramps fit nicely under the rails.

I was skeptical about getting a tonneau cover, but I LOVE my Diamondback. Super secure, weatherproof, and well built. Easy to remove as well.

Out of curiosity, what were you hauling that required you to remove the actual cover? Mine rolls about 98% out of the way, was it some ATVs or something that had to go absolutely all the way against the back?

ATVs are the big one. Also have a portable transfer tank that requires removal when pulling the gooseneck with the tank in. Have hauled a few implements that requires removal to get the gate closed.

I’ve been kicking around getting a cover. If I do it will be either Truxedo Pro X15 or the Century CT. I’ve got to have one that rolls up, allows full bed use, and is easy & quick to fully remove alone when needed.

More than several times I’ve had a need for a cover. Only thing holding me back is having to deal with it when washing the truck (climbing in the bed to wash rear window and cab roof) and rolling it up on trash night every week to haul the cans down to the end of the driveway.

for your searching purposes, it's sentry. and with the roll ups you could just leave it installed but rolled up, since it sounds like u need it open more often than closed. and just close it when u need it.

I'd love to know the height of the Sentry CT when rolled up at the front of the bed. Since everyone here runs the short bed I guess I'd have to add another 1.5 inches? for the height of a longer roll with the 8' bed?

This is a picture of a 99-16 short bed truck, I think you're right about the extra 1.5" for an 8' bed. You'd probably barely see it out of your back window.

How much noise does the Sentry CT make going down the road, or over bumps, or down a gravel road? A rattle drives me NUTS, I would be a hard pass if it makes noise.

I don’t hear anything, and I consider myself pretty attune to that sort of thing cause I hate that also.

I dad ont either. I’ve been very impressed with the quality and got of my Sentry CT. NO NOISE, no rattles, no buffeting to speak of. No water in the bed after a rain, snow, or car wash.

Agree with @Vecman and @DDD - I don't hear any rattling or otherwise... I have only driven with it rolled up to the cab a few times but that was trouble/noise free as well.

Doing some homework.... The Sentry CT and the BAK Revolver X4S appear to be head to head. Looks like the Sentry uses velcro outside the rail to hang on while the Revolver opts for an interlocking slat inside the rail for a mechanical connection. Pros and cons or not important?

I watched the video on their website. They’re the same internally. BAK looks like a rubber strip on top of the bed rail vs the Velcro strip of the sentry. I don’t see much difference otherwise

I’d never heard of the Sentry (or had overlooked it maybe). Was at the shop getting Line-X and looking at the bed covers. They had displays of both side by side. I asked the guy about the price of the BAK. He told me the price and immediately said he recommended the Sentry CT instead. He said both were good covers but they had several customers come back with issues on the BAK but hadn’t had a single return on the Sentry CT. IIRC both were priced about the same, so I don’t suspect an up sell was in play.

I have no experience with either, and he may be full of sheet, for all I know.

In my internet research on the BAK X4 vs Sentry CT, I see lots of talk (and pics) of the Bak vinyl delaminating or tearing. I'm still leaning towards the CT when I get my truck.

Anybody use this one. When my truck is finally here, I was thinking of this as an option. The video looks pretty easy to remove and store.

Agree with @Vecman and @DDD - I don't hear any rattling or otherwise... I have only driven with it rolled up to the cab a few times but that was trouble/noise free as well.

I also don’t notice any noise rolled up all the way or closed.
