In my internet research on the BAK X4 vs Sentry CT, I see lots of talk (and pics) of the Bak vinyl delaminating or tearing. I'm still leaning towards the CT when I get my truck.

To me the major difference is in the top rail "seal" methodology. I realize there are happy customers using both, but I liked the 15deg rails and industrial Velcro used on the Sentry vs. the rubber flap on the Revolver. I will also note that the matte fabric of the Sentry CT has been totally trouble free from a cleaning perspective. It was a bit counter to my initial thoughts, but I think it has been easier to keep clean than the traditional soft fold vinyl cover I previously had...

I’ve had 6 or 7 BakFlip MX4s personally and I wouldn’t run any other cover. I’ve tried others including the BAK X4 and it leaked everywhere.

i had bakflip f1 and sentry ct, neither were noisy to where i could hear in truck. neither were perfectly watertight, but both were plenty good water resistant. the f1 didn't have the new tailgate seal, so i did have to open it to close tailgate. ignoring that, personally i'd never buy a tri flip again. it's just a pain to open and close due to weight of panels, and by pain i mean compared to everything else. and wife couldn't open it. the roll up was easier and everyone could do it. brand wise, my personal f1 did not age well. everything came apart and didn't really work well after a few years. i didn't have sentry for more than a year or two before selling truck, but it worked fine the whole time. personally, i'd never buy another bakflip. my friend has the mx something, it's nice for sure, but for me the problem was durability, not sure he'll experience that. if you really are on the fence, just get whichever you think you want the most and see how it goes. they're cheap enough that if in a few years u don't really like it, it'll prob be due for replacement anyway.

Update: We just received 12" of wet heavy snow yesterday... Happy to say the Sentry CT handled the weight without an issue. Once I removed the snow, I could still roll it up..

I've seen a bunch of tonneau covers on here. What's the best? Looking for something low profile but also operates well. Ideally easy to take on and off. Pictures appreciated if you have em!

I am also curious about this one. I had a Bakflip on my raptor and it worked well but full removal was difficult and not being able to see out the rear glass was a pain. Looking for something like the peragon but haven’t seen much info about it.

I really like the Diamondback, and the fact that you can topload, depending on model, from 400 to 1600 lbs and it has a tool tray that fits under the front hatch, has me leaning toward that one now.

since aluminum shaving were dropping all over when I removed it from the packaging.

This is the only complaint I have had with the Sentry CT. I spent some time vacuuming the aluminum shavings when I first installed it. Got most of them but had a few pop up here and there.

Retrax (Ford) factory option. Anodized black aluminum slats, appears very sturdy and durable. Only problem, the bastards forgot to zip tie the keys to the bottom on the driver's seat. Took delivery with a locked tonneau and NO keys. If this was an 80k Mercedes, they would have sent a courier to pick up and bring to me, same day.
