The real story on Tremor springs

Let's gooooo! Looks good! What shocks are you running? 2.0 or 2.5 HTO? I really think this is the route I'm going.

Did you have to add an adjustable track bar?

Thanks for posting!
I installed the cheaper 2.0 a few months ago, I wish I would’ve done the HTO.

Regarding the track bar…I didn’t do anything other than springs and I only gained a 1/4 inch. This all confuses me as if i was non-plow, this would’ve raised me 2 inches. 2 inch lift kits usually come with caster shims and track bar stuff. So I have no idea. I also don’t know if the snow plow truck has a different track bar then non-plow?

My only thought is to get the alignment done by a 4x4 shop and see what they recommend as I think the superduties have a preferred caster #

Makes sense. Yeah, I agree to get an alignment afterwards. Coming from the performance car side of things, caster makes the steering feel good and gives you high speed stability. More is better to an extent.

This is more out of curiosity than anything. I’ve already got an adjustable to go in my truck. But is the tremor track bar or bracket different than the regular 250/350 parts. Just wondering how ford handled keeping the axle centered.

I also want to know, I have a regular F250 with snow plow springs… I added the tremor springs and got 1/4 inch…I sat 2 inches higher up front then non-plow prep trucks…so does the snowplow prep trucks get a longer bar? Do the tremors?

I also added caster shims from a 2.5 inch kit to ge y caster correct…I heard Temors have different adjustment cams

If anybody with a tremor wants to look under at their track bar bracket the part number off my standard 350 bracket is PC3C-3A094-AA

Got my BDS 1-2" springs put on yesterday.

What did you do about the trackbar, etc?

Do you have a part # or link to these springs? I looked on BDS website and the smallest lift I saw for the 7.3 was a 4" lift.

Anyone have any 4800# (LAV) Tremor takeoff coils they want to sell?

Thanks for the link, this kit will raise my 2021 7.3 about 2-1/2”. That’s a little more than I want. I think my best option is to try and locate some 4800# Tremor springs, this will give me 1 to 1-1/2” lift, which would be ideal for me. The search continues.

I have a set of springs from my '22 7.3. I can send you pics if you'd like. I don't know the exact part number but they're just springs!

That would be great! Can you take a pic of the tag on the springs? That would tell me the spring rating, I'm looking for a 4800# rating. The top of the tag should have LAV printed on it.

That's what I'm looking for! How much do you want for them and where are you located?

I'm your neighbor in Sin City 😁. Shoot me an offer in a DM and I'll ship them out.

FYI, going from non-tremor 4,800lb springs to tremor 4,800lb springs will give you only 1" lift (after settling) and no more. If you go up in spring weight, then you can net more than 1" (along with a firmer ride so only recommended to go up in spring rating if you are driving with extra weight fulltime). I have camper on fulltime and I'll be going from 4,800lb non-tremor springs to 5,200lb Tremor springs. I have a friend that has experimented with several different spring heights and rates, has the same camper, and settled on this. Another of our friends did this specific change as well and likes the results. (I won't go into rear spring changes in this post). None of us wanted 2.5" - 3.5" of lift so the 1.5" lift, from going to Tremor springs of a higher spring rate, is what we were all after for out specific wants. The higher spring rate has resulted in much better support and handling (along with the Fox 2.5" performance elite which is a huge part of the better handling).
I'm installing my 5,200lb Tremor springs and Fox shocks in early May.

My bad, did a Rough Country adj. track bar. Just ordered S&B Radius arm drops so that I can get better castor numbers. Right now I am at 0 and it's honestly not terrible. The shop didn't really align it, they just zeroed up the toe. After finding S&B's alignment specs and talking to Dave @ S&B (formerly OUO), I realized my wandering on the highway is probably more toe related than anything else. Either way, my plan is to get the drops & an alignment and then see what's next.

Overall, I really like the way the BDS springs worked out. SLIGHTLY softer than stock in small bump compliance, but I think I'm going to save up for Fox 2.5 HTO or the adjustables to really dial in the softer ride.
