Sometimes we just got to look the other way......

Phones have to be worse for tracking, listening and spying than those flock cameras….just can’t escape it today.
Big difference.

Willingly carrying a smartphone that you know can track you is a choice, as is driving a vehicle with telematics. You can escape those with a little know-how.

A networked, AI-integrated surveillance system spanning jurisdictions and watching public roads isn’t, and in many cases you don’t even know it’s there.

Wild take.

I'm not worried about random CCTV cameras or grandma's street-facing doorbell camera. I'm concerned about tens of thousands of cameras tied into a networked, AI-integrated system that can track movements, search video and vehicle data in plain language, and generate alerts in real time. The potential for abuse is exponentially higher, and there have already been numerous documented abuses by authorized users with little to no recourse for people wrongly targeted or investigated.

I work in tech. I see what's coming, and I don't like it. Once this kind of infrastructure is widespread, there's really no putting the genie back in the bottle. We're sleepwalking past that point quickly.

I think this issue transcends politics. It's a basic civil liberties issue at this point.

Regardless, the mods have historically been pretty forgiving if we keep things respectful🤞
Pretty sure all sides are against the flock anyway. That, in and of itself, should raise red flags. I mean, when have all sides agreed on pretty much anything 🤷👀

What happens when hackers break into Flock systems and start selling access on the black market. Ask cybersecurity folks, every system has vulnerabilities and it’s only a matter of effort, when not if. What can criminals do with access? I’m sure none of us would like to know the possibilities.
Number of YouTube guys have “hacked” them to show vulnerabilities.

Everyone complains about flock cameras but not the surveillance Ford, Apple, Google, LG, grocery stores, casinos…….lol hell we are paying both the government and private companies to surveil us AND make money from the data.

Also, flock cameras are nearly worthless until we properly address criminal behavior.

Meh, track me all day. Not scared. Phones are worse, but no one cares. The only person here that gives the Govt fun times is tracking Optimus to the many strip clubs he goes to on a daily basis. Definitely entertaining!!😘

Wait a minute. Now you're tracking me! 🤪

Yeah, I mean why even close your bedroom curtains at night, right? 😂

Being scared has nothing to do with it. Privacy isn’t fear, and the existence of one kind of surveillance isn’t a good argument for accepting more of it.

Not going to argue about it. But, surveillance in this country is never going away. Flocks need improvements, just like any other new form of security. Like I said, your phones are worse, but gotta have them everywhere you go. They listen and track, even if off. Soooooo……………

At least your contradictions are consistent 😂

Wait. Those are supposed to be closed? And to think I was finally doing something right all these years.
I take it “Stroke250” is what the neighbors started calling you…
