Yessssss! Same here. It is so interesting to watch. A new video is coming soon where I tour the manufacturing of these vans and trucks. I'll post it here when it goes live. Until then I will rotate through those pictures way too oftenI love seeing the bones and guts of these production campers!
@Chris-DTA is already later in life. Hahahaha. Kidding aside I’d consider this too if and when my bank account allows lol. This is such a cool build!! I would consider something like this a little later in life.......
lol don't make me feel old, man.@Chris-DTA is already later in life. Hahahaha. Kidding aside I’d consider this too if and when my bank account allows lol.
100% agree! Plus. Not for nothing you’ve gotta have a little bit of fun and do the things you want.lol don't make me feel old, man.
The matching bank account or income is important. I would not ever go into debt for this, nor should you.
I am taking some financial risks by buying a rig like this, but I do have an excellent financial plan I am executing in parallel, and I am confident it will all work out in one way or another.
It's hard to give up the safety-net of having a home to live in. Most people never even leave the area where they grew up and move away - even within the same state. Even fewer people move between states, so let's not even talk about moving to a different country where they speak a different language. I've done it in reverse order (move to a new country with a different language first lol) and now it is still scary thinking about being a gipsy with no real home. But with every change, it gets a little bit easier, and with every change, you gain more confidence that you will be Ok even if things do not work out as expected.100% agree! Plus. Not for nothing you’ve gotta have a little bit of fun and do the things you want.
I’ve got about $165k into my rig…. Which to me is a lot but to get into a Rossmonster it’s about double that. If i could talk my wife into selling the house and living that gypsy life I’d order one tomorrow lol. You’ll be living the dream brother!
You better order it with a large freezer thenThis build is so awesome. If I was living the bachelor life I would setup a rig like this and travel the country hunting turkeys!
Yeah, I am thinking along the same lines as you are. I am hoping for a delivery date closer to the 20th than the 30th, but we will see.It's. Going faster than I expected for an estimated end of Sept. build, but maybe they are the type to under-promise and over-deliver. Or it's the final 10% that takes 90% of the time.
Pick your Adage. Ha.
That is an interesting observation regarding the smaller vehicles. If you look across the pond there is actually a lot of that going on in Europe as well as in Japan. I am surprised how few of those make it to the US.Just watched the video Chris. That’s really quite a shop! Caught your Earthroamer Vid as well. It amazes me sometimes just how big the market is for this type of truck. Heck when Supertramp rolled out Megatron my first thought was that’s crazy, why not build a small compact unit for a Tacoma/ Ranger. I realize the margin on these beasts is much better but how big could the market be for a $300-$800k truck? Apparently pretty big….
Man I am loving this build!!!The Friday pictures just came in. Exciting stuff is happening. The Buckstop Outback front bumper and the 16.5 Warn TSi winch have been installed. The work on the roof (inside) is continuing. The wood ceiling and some wiring have been installed. The pine tongue and groove have not been "white-washed" just yet. Countertops and some plumbing for the shower are also progressing.
