Can you go to Settings and see if Recurring Schedule appears? Mine just automatically does it, like me!

When I go to this screen on my android, it says automatic updates are off. I assume this shows because I've never scheduled updates on my truck before???

You have to initiate that from your truck then you'll get the following message on the Ford app:

Ok. Looks like you’re on WiFi too. You could try “update now” or just leave it on auto update. These don’t all roll out at once - but it seems many of us were updated yesterday.

Update now just gives me that screen in post before, useless. I just changed my schedule to 7pm tonight, we shall see

My guess is you’re in the cue. When we went from partial screen in CarPlay to full screen, I was somewhere in the middle of the members here.

@Wildcat82 When I mentioned in DM awhile back, you will probably need to update via FDRS, as that is what most of us had to do when the truck was stuck on the early Sync versions. Once you get past the initial FDRS rigmarole, OTA will actually work. While you're in FDRS you will be able to update a bunch of other non Sync related modules as well to bring the truck up to date.

@F450_on_44s was renting out his Mongoose cable to do this in fact. 2 day FDRS sub is like $50.

I'm still hopeful this will work lol. Unfortunately, where I live, you can't schedule an appointment. It's first come first serve and usually a minimum 3 day stay. We have some trips coming up so it will be a while before I can get truck in.

FDRS updates can be done at home. Definitely don't need the dealer for this.
