Receiver hitches?

I am running the 5" drop with no troubles and it stores easier than the 8"
( I don't keep it in the receiver when not trailering.)

I second the 5"

I’m running the 3” B&W Tow & Stow with the 7” drop. My livestock trailer likes the extra few inches of drop compared to the 5”.

I also swapped out the hairpins for some stainless steel linchpins. I thought it cleaned up the look a bit.

How do I know how many drops I need? What's everyone using for bumper pull toy haulers? (don't have a truck yet. Building to buy list, waiting on 2021)

On level ground:
At the truck: measure from the inside, top edge of the receiver tube to the ground. Make note of that measurement

At the trailer(s): level the trailer on the jack and measure from the bottom of the coupler (or inside the coupler) to the ground.

Subtrack the trailer number from the truck number and that’s your drop (+ or - a little room for squat caused by tongue weight).

If you really just want to wing it, measure the truck and use 17” as a very general average for trailer heights. Your mileage may vary with that method.

There are plenty of quick YouTube videos that will show you what to do if a visual will help.

I’ve got multiple trailers with all three ball sizes, so something with an adjustable drop and multiple balls works great for me.

@Bill Thank you. How many squats do you think a 350 will have with 1k hitch weight, give or take 100 pounds? I know my 150 had a lot. LOL

I just just purchased the B&W with 7” drop. The 5” was not quite enough drop for my 3 place ATV trailer. Wish the 5” would have been enough. The 7” is only about 13” off the ground in the stowed position.

I ended up getting the b&w 3inch shank with the 7.5 drop and it fits like a glove

I love that B&W, looks clean when stowed. But my receiver holds my wings, I gotta represent my airborne brethren on the street when I’m not towing

Looks great and more importantly, thank you for your service!

You will be surprised My 350 Tremor squats more than my 2015 Silverado 3500. But it has more suspension travel too. So not to worry.

I have 8” drop on F-350 - the last hole works great for the utility trailer I use frequently. I never leave it in when not towing. It’s aluminum with stainless balls so very light weight for 3incher.

I hooked up to my small dump trailer this morning and 7” drop works perfect for it as well as my ATV trailer. Figured would start small for the first tow with the truck. The F-350 doesn’t squat much with the smaller trailers so glad I went with the 7” drop to cover them. The 5” drop would work fine if I were just hauling my 25” enclosed.

how much ground clearance is there with an 8" drop? bottom of it to the ground when hooked up and not hooked up?

How do you get 75k points? I am looking at 6,784 points for spending $4600 at the dealership's aftermarket desk. Does that sound correct, or low?
The 75k points came when I bought the truck. Got some "bonus" when i activated the app. Not sure how htey calculate point values with purchases. But I did use most of them up to get the hitch

Just picked up the Weigh Safe 6” Drop in Black Cerakote Aluminum with 3” draw bar. Wanted to be able to move my toy hauler without WDH when needed. My 2” WS hitch isn’t rated high enough and I wanted the new black aluminum. Haha.
