Other Rides

4 wheelers make me nervous and doctors a lot of money. Get a RZR or something similar with a roll bar and seat beats. They make them wicked fast if you need speed.

That all sounds good, but a SXS will roll/flip way easier than a quad. SXS don’t have a great low center of gravity. The factory row bars in a SXS are not real roll bars. 😳😳
And the SXS should have four or five point harnesses. 👍

Took some fresh pics today. Also curious what else you guys drive / ride when not driving the Tremor?

2011 BMW 535i M-Sport, Alpine White on Cinnamon Leather, Stage 2+ MHD, Catless DP, M5 Comp Mufflers, FMIC, Short Ram Intake, 20" HRE FF01

1987 Mustang GT Vert, 5MT, Longtubes, Catless x-pipe, Pypes Violators, 3.73s, BBK CAI, Custom ISC Coilovers on all 4 corners, 5 Lug Conversion, 2001-2004 Cobra Front Brakes, 18" SVE FR500 9F/10.5R

beautiful mustang!

Need some help from the hive group. Last summer my FiL purchased roughly 850 acres. You guys helped with GoKart recommendations for my son; which he's absolutely loving. We have two Polaris xp1000 rangers but it's time for me to get a toy to thrash around and go riding with my son (either together or him in his GoKart).

Was originally thinking about a 4wheeler but they make my FiL uneasy (story for another day) my wife likes the idea too but she also was like idk about riding two and you're not gonna wanna ride on the back either (thought about a cfmoto cforce 1000)

But now I'm thinking maybe we just jump into a SxS. Looking at a Polaris RZR 1000 ultimate. Wanted to see what the thoughts are here. There's trails all over property, the ride command is nice bc we can download the property map we've already created on the rangers. The rangers fit everywhere with mostly (except like two trails) with plenty of space to the sides of the vehicle most of the complications arise when a tree falls across the trail and you have to try to cut through or go back the other way. there’s a couple flat open areas or we can high-speed powerline trails and shit like that too, but most of it would be lower speeds going through the woods.

Pic of us heading to shop, son takes any moment to fire up the GoKart.

I usually wouldn’t chime in on telling someone what to buy… however I spent a fair amount of time in the power sports industry. I’ve unfortunately been around for more crashes than I can count, four wheelers and side by sides.

That being said a siide by side with a quality cage and harnesses is the best way to go. If and ONLY if the riders use the safety equipment (harnesses appropriately). People have a tendency to want to only put the harness on right before they get stupid and that just doesn’t work. I watched an individual hop in to move one further to the trail side to allow a passing group without taking the time to harness in they ended up rolling down the mountain with nothing securing them and suffering way more injuries than they should have.

When it comes to four wheelers I hate to be that guy but for god sakes make the kids wear a helmet. I was there when a simple crash turned into a head injury that resulted in loss of life. Non of us used helmets back then and it was a haunting experience experience.

Just my 2 cents either machine can be a blast for the family in kids if you take advantage of the right safety equipment.

I have a Honda Pioneer 1000-p5; they are hard to beat. For around the yard, and they can climb some crazy things with some mods. Sliders, 1/2 skid plates, Fox shocks, and 3" lift with arched A-arms. Even stock, there are some amazing bikes that can carry 5 people or fold the seats down and use the dump bed for everyday use.

I own a 2016. It has been so much freaking fun!
Check out the Hondasxs Takeover every May/June. A bunch of us gather at Royal Blue for a few days of riding.

My buddy has been several times; I keep trying to go, but our schedules never seem to line up. I hope to make it sooner rather than later. I visited the Hot Springs ORV park several times, a great place and close to Louisiana.

They are doing another ride in early Oct. M.O.M. (mayhem on the mountain)
I am waiting to see what TWRA does with out of state licenses. At $300 a year, It may not be worth the 5 days of riding anymore.

@TnTremor2026

Helmets are nonnegotionable, we obviously don't wear them in the service carts like the polaris ranger you see in front of my son in the picture (but he has his on) i posted doing work on the farm but my son knows if he's doing anything besides putting the kart up in the shop (right next to the house) it's 100% helmet in the gokart (-99.99999% if you count those very few instances.) 9/10x though he's fully helmeted even putting it up. Even if I ride with him in the gokart we're helmeted up (just just one time for him to bonk you to realize you should have yours too).

same, that's why i am kinda leaning towards a sxs. We only got 850 acres of mix use kinda farm land, there's a few fields and powerlines we could probably rip WOT but would be very limited, looking more for a mix use setup and less of the buggy/baja style SxS (polaris builder is good at describing ones for flat out whoops and jumps vs trails width dimensions and such.
And the SXS should have four or five point harnesses. 👍
ironically i bought a set of 4pts for my sons gokart for this reason bc 3 points are not good when you're sideways; my intent would be to get some for the SxS as well. Polaris makes a set for theirs that you can order but there's plenty of legit aftermarket ones as well.

2023 Ford F150 Black Ops. Not a fan of dealer uplifted trucks typically. But this one is pretty sick. And exactly what my wife wanted in a truck.
