Milwaukee M18 18V Cordless Tire Inflator 2848

M18 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Inflator with Two 5.0ah and Charger I always have in truck. I do trailer tires pulling boat and it out 70 PSI in Tremor tires easily. I was going to get on board compressor and found this. It’s perfect for me and a lot less expensive and works!

How long would you say it takes to inflate a 35" from 30-70# and how much battery does it go through, roughly speaking?

Price went back up to $496. Had it in my cart for the $199 price and now it shows the higher price. I think someone messed up and put the lower price.
Too funny!

It certainly was too good to be true and as much as I didn't need it, I tried to keep on thinking of ways I could use it. Well too late now as I didn't score it when I should have.

Darn - I could have used the batteries alone. Some of my older batteries just aren't lasting as long as they once used to.

Hopefully @modified was able to make up his mind in time.

Let his be a learning experience, eh?

I'm kicking my own rear after this one :sneaky:

Well, I just looked again and the price went back down to $199. I placed my order and have a receipt for the sale price! Try it now.

Edit: I mainly bought it for the batteries, but now I have a second compressor to use in our other vehicles.

I recently tested on inflating Duratracs from 0 to 65psi, 5 tires on oem rims. Took 7-8 minutes each it drained my 6ah dewalt battery at end of 2nd tire. I moved on to the next 8ah battery after that, drained on 5th tire, moved to 5ah and finished all 5. I have many dewalt batteries so going through them wasn’t an issue. I love this inflator, rock solid, i have no need for on board air and having this is just what i needed.

Thanks for the heads up on this great deal Modified, I just ordered one as well. I better print some more M18 battery holders.

If you need batteries, those are priced well too.

Nice find Abe. Ordered the enhanced one. Thanks!
I have one of those too, I prefer the ease of the M18. No need to get it out of the bag, pop the hood, connect to battery, hook up the hose, attend it while you fill, put it all away in the bag…

Exactly. The purpose of this thread was to focus on the best battery operated inflator. If someone wants to talk about VIAIR or ARB dual on board air compressors, there are plenty of other threads which exist for that purpose.

@modified I couldn’t resist, had to get another one at this price :) Topped it off with 10% coupon and 5% cash back came out to $180 with tax total. Will keep it on our family SUV.

I've been using this inflator for over a year and it's great. Use it in the work truck and it's aired up three flats on the road to get me out of Dodge. I have an ARB in the CJ for the lockers and a #10 power tank I've used over the years for airing up. The M18 inflator is the most efficient and practical than either of those. The power tank is pretty good out on the trail though

Just the batteries alone are worth value as I too, have too many compressors but by the same token, it couldnt hurt.

Sometimes having to turn on the powered one to inflate a bike tire is for 5 lbs of air quite literally overkill.

Just how powerful are these units?
The Milwaukee portable is the best battery/car compressor I've used. That includes its DeWalt competitor, some yellow pistol grip cigar lighter one that might be a Stanley or something and a 20 year old China cig lighter plug in no name called "Truck Air". I have never used an on-board like ARB or Viair.

I like it so much that I just bought a second one like a few others seem to be doing. See the post #23 near the top of page 2 of this thread for the Project Farm inflator test;

I'm now a mixed household between Yellow and Red, buying what seems best between the two for any given tool that I decide I need or if replacing so the extra M18 batteries are part of the attraction. I also have battery adapters to go in both directions which is handy.

I concur.

on a camping trip two years ago a buddy and i compared the m18 inflator against the dewalt inflator. It wasnt even a contest. We were airing up to the same pressure on a 30" tire, m18 on the driver, dewalt on the passenger. Believe we were going from 30-60psi. M18 beat the Dewalt by minutes.

Having said that... if you air up much you need on-board air. Once you get it... you dont know how you lived so long without it.
