So what is the latest consensus on this issue. I just took home a 2021 and updated it to v3.4.21098 and still have this issue. Also tried ios 15 beta 6 and still have the issue. As soon as I unplug the phone and the call gets routed over Bluetooth all is good.

I have had this issue as well, but what has worked for me is turning Bluetooth off on my phone. I also have no idea what version I have in the truck but my phone is 14.6.
I reset sync and never setup bluetooth and still saw the issue. Bummer.
It's still broken in that version. The one released this month has fixed it though. Should be trickling out soon I hope.

Looks like update 3.4 Build 21194 is available via the Ford website and I'm assuming OTA as well.

I’ve got a 22MY coming that still hasn’t arrived, so I haven’t been impacted by this issue in more ways than one.

The new SYNC 3 update has fixed the low volume problem for me!

Any theories on why this update is not pending for my 21 lariat? My apim is running 3.4 20196_product. Build date on truck is 06/21.

I gave up on WiFi and ended up downloading it to a USB stick following the instructions on the Ford page linked above. Not really intuitive in the settings screens to get it to load.
Maybe you need to update to 21098 first? When I got my 21 I had to install multiple updates to get current. It didn't just update to the latest.
Just noticed the battery did not charge at all after driving for 30 minutes. My iPhone normally gains 13% of charge in 30 minutes.

It is going back to the dealer for a few concerns tomorrow (unfortunately) so I am going to have them deal with it. For the cost of these things I would expect their development team to have their act together a little more... Crazy their software chokes when there is a multi-revision upgrade.
I did not see a way to download specific revisions though. Any info on how to do that for the next time?

Last night I used CarPlay without any apps running and the phone gained an 8% charge in 30 minutes. If I charge it with CarPlay turned off it gains 13% charge in 30 minutes. If CarPlay and apps are running, the phone does not charge at all it just maintains it current state of charge.
