So when you remote start now does the button light up or can you just tell due to temp?Did mine with FDRS. It works. Proceed with confidence.
Yeah the dealership tired to update mine and it does not work going to take it to a different dealership when I get a day offAfter the Sync4 update my seats cool on remote start but I have no way of testing the heated seats since it's hotter than a whale's vagina here right now. I did notice some APIM settings in Forscan pertaining to remote start, but after a bunch of experimentation they had no effect on how the seats behaved.
My guess is the software bug was already fixed when they updated my truck using FDRS last week.
Bummer. I'm scheduled to get the SSM update in a couple weeks and was looking forward to it now that it's getting colder out.Just got the SSM 51741 update yesterday. 22º this morning and while lights on the button were not illuminated, the seats appeared to not be ice cold, but certainly not hot by any measure. I changed the climate settings from "auto" to "last", turned on the AC seats, and did a full power cycle and remote start and the AC seats were definitely on. So seems to be working... just not very hot. I'll take mildly warm over freezing though.
My dealer sucks nothing works in my truck seats still don’t work so when I come out of work at 1:00 am they’re frozen and still no full screen apple car play admittedly I don’t use car play anyway at this point I just can’t waste anymore time on incompetence truck will more than likely get traded for a 25MY anywayJust got the SSM 51741 update yesterday. 22º this morning and while lights on the button were not illuminated, the seats appeared to not be ice cold, but certainly not hot by any measure. The red LED lights will not turn on after a remote start until you PTS/Key-on. I had the SSM 51741 done a couple weeks ago. I hooked up FORScan to verify the fix. At that time, the seat AAT was approx. 55ºF, I remote started at about 20 sec on the graph, let it run and the seat temp rose to approx. 118ºF when I pressed the PTS at about 199 sec mark. So the seat temp went from 55ºF to 118ºF in 179 sec or 2.9 min (which equates to approx. 21ºF per min). I have not actually tested the max temp reached after PTS or what the temp is for 1-3 red LEDs. MY IC menu settings for remote start are Climate Control = Auto; Seats & Wheel = Auto. Only way to accurately test is with FORScan and the seat temp PIDs, or less accurate readings by using a IFR thermometer or your hand to feel heat , but obviously would be subjective.I had my update done and my seats still do not turn on with remote start
I know they won’t light up until the key is turned. I know they aren’t working because my balls freeze to the seats still after remote starting. Very helpful, thanks. It was 22º and I let it run maybe two minutes before hopping in which would account for my feeling that it was not quite as cold if say it was at 40º - 60ºish instead of ambient. I'll give it a shot tomorrow and let it run five minutes. Appreciate the info! The red LED lights will not turn on after a remote start until you PTS/Key-on.
