that's because diesels take a long time to warm up, check the coolant temp after your 10 min remote start. if its not warm your not gonna get any good heat. I feel like after 1 remote start its decent, 2 remote starts and its starting to get warm and by 3 miles down the road its coming out pretty good. just really depends on how cold it is out. if its freezing its gonna take a long time for it to warm up
Thanks, I figured it's related to a cold engine. With the heat on auto setting, it doesn’t seem to blow any warm air until the engine coolant temperature is about 80 deg F. So depending on outside temperature and engine temperature when you start it (use block heater or not), it could take quite a bit of time. Block heater works awesome and the engine temp is almost 80 right away, even at -3F. Also, high idle kit helps a lot as well when set to 1500 rpm.
