FYI 2022 Updated Production Schedule

@WhiskeyTango sorry to hear that, that sucks. Seems like July 26th is the date many of us are being told are trucks are scheduled for. When I ordered the dealer told me my truck will be the first 2022 they order.
Thanks, yes I was also the first 22’ SD they ordered at my dealer as well. It’s okay it’ll happen when it’s supposed to happen, luckily I have a work truck to use for the time being so maybe someone who really needs a truck sooner then I will get taken care of :)

I’m wondering if Platinum models are scheduled after Lariats possibly, what style truck is everyone ordering?

Or it could simply be down to level of dealer for prioritizing, my dealer does a fair amount but they are a rural mountain dealer so smaller in comparison to the big city dealers.

I thought it was an error also. Maybe I should contact my salesman.
80 is the default code. When the order is actually placed in the system, they change it. I'd say you actually have a 12 or 13 priority code.

My 2022 has a build date of 7/26. I assume the build date is when the truck goes into production, how long does it actually take to build the truck and what are the steps the truck has to go through once the truck is complete? I know when I ordered my raptor, once it hit the final ramp # (can't recall what that # is) it was loaded onto a rail car for an extended train ride around the country LOL.
Super Duties are on the assembly line for one day. Most cases, just a few hours

April 3rd Platinum 6.7 350 Tremor July 19th build....I was the first special order from my dealer. It's a small dealership with a small allotment....it's probably based on your dealership and how the inputed the order....there's no way they would tell you anything except you're the first and bestest customer order....im sure they want some sitting on the lot to mark up while they can ? my dealership showed me their order screen after inquiring about priority thanks to this forum....seems like luck of the draw at this point given all the different configurations I've seen posted for the same week on here....FWIW

Thanks to everyone for the helpful tips. I got this message this morning from my salesman;

"You are a priority 10 order I sent it to your phone earlier. Please call with questions."

That seems to be what others are wanting and perhaps it does mean something better than a priority code 80.
Awesome. Good to hear.

Thanks for quick reply, hmm debunks my theory lol

My friend owns the dealership and shows me everything, we entered my order but I did change the color to Antimatter Blue a few days after I received my Ford email on March 26.

No worries guess it’ll work out the way it’s supposed to

Just joined this forum, enjoy all the comments and good info. For my part, I ordered a Rapid Red regular cab F-350 7.3L 4x2 XLT, priority code 19 on May 17. Called the 800 number this morning. Like many of you said, they won't give out much info but would let me know IF I had a VIN, which I don't yet. My dealer, Long Lewis Ford in Hoover, AL told me to look for a VIN June 20-24, so we'll see.

That will be a cool truck. What are your plans for it? Work or play?

Thank you! Mainly play and towing our travel trailer. I've currently got a 2013 F-150 STX regular cab ( I've got a thing for regular cabs, you just don't see many anymore) that will hopefully find a new home before the 350 arrives. I'm new to the Super Duty world, but after realizing the MSRP between the 250 and 350 with the options I wanted was only about 1300.00, it was a no brainer. Rather have more than less. Eventually I'll be getting it painted with the white mid-section to look like a 70's highboy.

Nice that’s what I was hoping you’d say. I love the throwback highboy look on these trucks.

From what I can see, Ford did not schedule any 2022 builds prior to Monday 7/19. Job 1 is scheduled for Saturday 7/10, With that said, Retail Production does not start until, "OKAY TO BUY" status is achieved. For this to be achieved, they must have 5 consecutive days of production with zero defects. Normally Retail Orders are not scheduled until, "OKAY TO BUY" status is achieved. So, Ford went outside "NORM" in scheduling early. One can be an Optimist or a Pessimist. We have a little over 40 days to entertain our self, before we know.

I bet there is an algorithm in their order system that mates higher profit margin vehicles with pissing off the least amount of dealers. I'm sure you would need an astrophysics degree to figure out the methodology behind this craziness. Reading between here and Blue Oval and you see FMC is a walking contradiction at this point. Go to TFL truck and look at the section about ford f-series order questions and you will see a whole lot more that doesn't make sense. Pleasing the shareholders is the end game here so however it happens I'm sure profit margin is the main factor to make up for the catastrophe that occurred. I bought a 2021 Super Duty off the lot in December and I read the stories of people who ordered as far back as then still waiting on delivery. Patience for the process, vigilance at delivery. It's on us to make sure these machines are to our liking before we sign the dotted line.

What Ive noticed, is a little pattern perhaps...Those who ordered a 2022 platinum/lariat/king ranches are getting their vins and build dates....my guess is those units bring in more money vs those who ordered an xlt (which I did as well)...XLT will probably take a littlle longer to get scheduled.

I ordered a lariat on 4/2. Got the VIN but no build date.

I changed crom carbonized to star white about 2 weeks ago so it's more likely the luck of the draw for sure lol

I was able to get VIN# from Ford Marketing last Friday but the representative told me the build date was pending. Called my salesman today and he was able to pull up my order in the Vehicle Visibility App. Showing scheduled build date is 07/26 (F250 7.3 ordered 04/23).

Friday I went to take care of some business at my local Ford dealership and check on my build, they said mine was waiting on commodities, they had some that had build dates for July and august but stated that those were XL models and weren’t tied down to the commodity issue mine was.

Not all unfortunately, I placed my Platinum F350 Tremor order and received Ford confirmation email March 26th and my order is still waiting to process.

Ive also been trying to put logic behind their order process but I’ll have to be patient a while longer lol

Luckily I have a work truck so I have time on my side.

I called the 800 number today. The nice lady verified my name, address, email and the VIN that the dealer gave me and told me that my F350 is scheduled to be built the week of 19 July.
