FYI 2022 Updated Production Schedule

Order placed 04/23 for a 7.3 F250. Called marketing and after being asked several questions to confirm my identity the customer service representative provided me with a VIN# but said there was no build date assigned yet. My prior code is 19 so might be the reason for a lack of build date.

Either way any progress is encouraging. Still anticipating having to wait until mid to late fall so delivery any earlier will be a welcome auto.

my build sheet said priority code 19, I emailed my dealer to see if we could improve that and he told me it was the default priority code and mine was actually changed to 11. Might want to double check with the dealer?

I received the same after calling twice. Vin, but no build date. Priority code 10. No build date yet makes sense if the 7.3's are first though. I ordered a 6.7.

I ordered my 2022 F-350 7.3 gas short bed, crew cab, Lariat, Tremor on May 22nd. Got a confirmation email from Ford.

After reading numerous messages here, I asked my salesman;

Hi Joe, can you tell me what my priority code means. I’m reading on the Ford Blue Oval forums that a priority code 10 is most desirable and a 19 less so. My order shows a priority code of 80.

His response to my email was;

Unless it's a high volume dealership with more than 10 retail orders in the USOB (Unscheduled Order Bank) for a vehicle line, it's better for the dealership to use separate priority codes for each retail order... 10 for the 1st order, 11 for the 2nd order, etc. In the WBDO (Web Based Dealer Ordering) system, retail orders default to Priority Code "19" requiring the Dealer to manually assign a lower priority code. Having multiple orders in the USOB with the same priority code tells the system to treat all those orders equally.

Has anybody seen their order update to show scheduled for production? Mine still shows order confirmed. Was just curious.

That's normal. Most of the fields on my order were not populated until my truck was being loaded on a car hauler. It showed up at the dealer in Indianapolis the next morning.

Ah Ok, thanks for the info.
Yours will probably ship by rail. I was lucky in that Indy is only a couple hours from the plant.
I checked constantly for updates to no real avail. Turned out that the dealer's original production and shipping dates were spot on.

Couple hours away? Why not just sit outside the factory and wait for your truck to roll off the line! Could save destination fees :)

I ordered mine on 4/28 for a 2022. I was put on priority 10 because I work at the dealer. Today I decided I wanted to change my color. They said my status was on “preview” so I still had time to change. Literally minutes after signing the paperwork for the color change I got changed to “submitted” and couldn’t change my color. I’m bummed about the color but I should get an email I assume. Star white will be good I just saw a blacked out atlas blue explorer and decided I wanted that.

I will call again tomorrow to ask for a VIN.....Interesting that they are giving to some but not everyone from the marketing group. I also would hate to see the truck sit in a lot in the weather waiting for a chip.......:-(

Oh for sure! I ordered mine in Atlas Blue and I saw an explorer ST the other day and I cant wait. Its gonna look so good.

Keep in mind too a lot of it will be based on your dealers production if that makes sense. Like I was lucky enough to order through a dealership that finished in the top 20 for sales nationally last year so they see/get a lot more inventory from Ford than other dealerships in the area. So that may be a hold up for your scheduling too but that is just an informed guess realistically. I don’t know exactly how Ford does it. Of course that all said too, going with a bug dealership like I did I’ll probably feel the pain more than a smaller dealership when it comes time to pay haha.

Yes very true. Just because you may have a higher priority with a dealer doesn't mean the dealer has a high priority with ford.

being first in line at the worst dealer isnt ideal.
