Forscan for 2022

I changed the tire size on my F-150 Tremor and it was 0.5 mph off to the slow side, super happy with it. I was like that for two years. Had an over the air update and jacked the entire truck up. Ford had it for 6 months trying to figure out what was wrong. They didn't think any of the ForScan changes would affect anything. Replaced modules and refreshed everything. Only thing that fixed it was getting rid of the tire size change, DRL change and reprograming everything back to stock. It affected almost every system, even the ones not related the actual modules changed in ForScan. The engineer and programers both said they have had serious trouble fixing some of the programing issues caused by ForScan users. The ON/OFF changes are not part of the problem. But when you mess with the ranged values. Is the Superduty prone to this problem? I think I am going to skip the ForScan and do the module that goes behind the dash if the speed is to far off. I was 11% off going to 37;s on my F150. I had to change a few lines of code and reset the TCM and a few other things. Been so long I can't remember. It worked and the OTA jacked everything up.

You may have received an over the air software update that affected/overwrote some of the modules (BCM, APIM, etc)

Ok thanks didn’t even think of that, do you know off hand where the seat belt minder and triple ding is, BCM maybe? I can’t remember it’s been 2.5 years

Triple ding ?? Open door is in the IPC, seat belt chimes is in IPC as well.

I’m confused I don’t know what you’re askin me, the seat belt chime is back and the stupid doo doo doo thing that it does on initial start up and when door is open (same sound) for start up and door open seat belt minder is a different sound

Need a bit of an assist with Forscan (2022 6.7 Platinum) if anyone has some info. Basically, I have enabled unreal engine, climate bar, seats temp, heated steering control on my Sync 4 display but now want to remove the climate bar (but keep unreal engine enabled). I have, of course, backups to revert to but I have made other changes in Forscan and would rather just change this setting vs installing a backup and reworking some other settings.

My current APIM setting for the climate control bar at the bottom of the screen is below. Does anyone have the factory setting to revert? I believe I only need the highlighted digit below.

Follow up (in case its needed) - I may need the factory settings for the seat temp control and steering wheel heat buttons so these would be greatly appreciated as well!

Go to the AsBuilt download page scroll down to find your factory value. 22’s don’t automatically update to the mothership like 23+ do.

Probably. My truck is at the shop getting a facelift and the guy was angry that he can't do anymore stuff. His renewal was January 1st.

I’m afraid they do...or at least my '22 was updated. My values on the Motorcraftservice.com/asbuilt data page match my current values for these (and other) changed settings.

But I can read it from my back up file(s) so I think I'm all set.

You can still get a free 2 month trail of the extended license through the Forscan website. I did that a couple of days ago to make some changes.

Good to know! Wasn't sure if that was going to be decommissioned or not. Glad we still have options.
