Forscan for 2022

That's weird. Without Nav In Motion, I can change sources but not actually browse music on my hard drive or use the Ford navigation. With it, I get the KIP issue. Either setting had no effect on Android Auto or Car Play.

It's weird. If I am in motion, and want to select CarPlay via air - it's a full stop selection. If I am plugged in - no problem - it just loads. For Nav, it's when I try to type in an address.

They made some kind of background change. I never enabled the nav in motion stuff. I used to be able to connect to Android Auto while driving. Now I have to stop do access it. It's annoying because my phone is connected to my home wifi and usually a Bluetooth headset so it fails to launch AA properly.

Also in a 22.

Yeah, I don't understand why they prevent you from opening Android Auto while driving. It was something they changed in a recent update and annoys the hell out of me.

On the 24 MY theres a standard setting for the powersteps to deploy when a door is opened, and they stay deployed until the vehicle is locked. This would be very convenient...I find my steps getting a workout as I open/close my doors quite a bit.

Does anyone know if this can be done via ForScan on a 22?

Anyone used Forscan to change the fuel tank size on a 2024 - buddy just got a SRW F-350 - 6.7 HO - FX4 - 8' bed - and put in a 68 gallon S&B today. I was able to get mine updated for my 60 gallon tank with Forscan back in 2022. Anyone have the steps/and where the changes occur so we can update his? Thx in advance for any help.

DTE change does not work like before.
You make the change in the PCM plain English but the DTE does not show 100% of the changes value.
So far in testing it appears that as you drive the truck will adjust the DTE to ultimately show the correct DTE but it returns to its partial value at next fill up
As of right not there is no know fix for this.

Yes the steps are annoying.
Not sure why they didn't leave them alone and have them operate independently of each other; like on the 22's and previous years.
I have not been able to find a way to "fix" this in ForScan.....unfortunately.

Ok guys getting ready to dive into the ForScan on my 22 F250, looking for the most current spread sheet for changes, and to include the options to add to the sync 4 screen also, I am no stranger to ForScan as I used it to my 19 FX4 Lariat Sport F150, just looking for the most up to date spread sheet to print and I can go and change things.

Ok I guess Im outta the game, tried using my forscan last night and need a license, got license downloaded but cant get it to forscan, also using a modified elm327, do I need to get a different interface like the ODBLink EX USB.

ok got the obdlink ex and changed all the settings i need but put a heated steering wheel in it with clock spring and module got all the modules updated but the hvac module because it is not showing up on forscan, forscan is up to date and obdlink is up to date, but no hvac module, need help figuring this out.

Sounds like the issue I had with the install, if I recall correctly. In my case, I had the power wire in the passenger footwell in the wrong port. I was looking at the module backwards when I determined which port it was, when I double checked its position I found my error. When I got it properly placed, the hsm showed up. Hope this helps.

Did you get a custom harness made specifically for a 22MY truck? This is a requirement to get the heated wheel to work and you cannot use the ones for 20-21MY. If you made one yourself, where did you tap in for the CANBUS signals?

Yes I had Ryan Broderick make my harness, everything looks right I am going to check the wires in drivers kick panel as I believe that's the can circuits, but I am not picking up the hvac module with forscan, I show hswm module and have updated all codes but the hvac module. I even updated forscan last night, and also added new firmware to OBDLink EX as well, I got the icon on screen just no hvac module when scanning modules.

Great! I worked with Ryan on the first 22 to do this. If you received the Forscan updates from him that should be all you need. Those are what my truck required.

I'm guessing you don't see the wheel icon in your climate control screen:

I do see the icon, it is just when using forscan to update all the modules I can't adjust the hvac as it doesn't show up in the list of modules.
