Forscan for 2022

Has anyone had issues getting the temps above the gauges to work? I tried the plain English and it did not work. I also tried changing it using the original way and it told me the values were not valid.

I was able to get rid of the double honk, seat belt chimes, add the DPF percentage, Fogs with High beams to work.

What module/where is this in the plain English version?

Temps above gauges has to be done in the As-Built module, unless they have fixed it for v44. You can look and give it a try, it is in the IPC module.

For completeness sack, I'm copy and paste this in this tread as well since people might just look here. (not trying to duplicate this information but duplicate threads call for duplicate posts)

Always remember to save a copy of the As Built module before changing anything and I recommend making notes of what you change.

Here are the plain english changes that I made, the setting column below is what it is listed as in said module.

Here are changes I made in the as built setting, bold and underlined numbers/letters are only ones that need to change, your original as built could be different depending on truck options. (Last two may be different for others and just checksum that will auto calculate). FYI, My truck is a MY22 7.3, these may or maynot be different for others.

okay, got the latest version still using the windows laptop, I was able to change the double honk and enable Bambi mode. The only other thing I really wanted was the DPF percentage, it wouldn’t allow me in the not as built option. I will research and try to make the changes later, thanks for the help.

Hello forscan experts. I have tried multiple times to use forscan on my truck. I have a company computer, windows 10. I tried to use forescan, I got the error shown, I seen where other have said to run as an admin, tried that, same error, any suggestion? Beginning to think I got a knock off Ford... BTW, I have the OBD linkex wired module from amazon as recommended by others.View attachment 40807

Took my ‘22 KR in for first oil change today and asked about making a few changes, I.e. 2x honk when leaving vehicle running, TPM down to 50psi, etc. They looked at me like I was crazy and had never heard of Forscan. Also stated they are “safety design features” that they can’t and don’t know how to change. Need to find someone near Atlanta to program these changes for me. Happy to pay for time and effort if anyone could assist. Not sure I’m comfortable attempting myself.

I am computer stupid, almost screw up turning them on & it’s easy to set it up and run it with a little help from people here, I spent about 45 min playing with the program in plain English trying to learn it without changing anything & then did Bambi, double honk, tire pressure without a problem

I can't seem to find, is there a way to allow you to turn on your backup camera and your CHMSL camera while driving.

Also would there be a way to allow you to engage cruise control at a lower speed? I would need 5 MPH.

It's not bad at all. Just dive it, you can do it.

MiTremor906 you seem very knowledgeable with FORSCAN. I can do a little with it. I just talked to a guy that also seemed knowledgeable with it. He was helping me change the size of my fuel tank. He said do not make changes in the Plain English Modules.

I would like to know your opinion on what he said, and why he may have said that. Thanks for the help!!

Is there a way to turn off the lane keep keep assist thing. I don’t want to get notified constable how bad I’m driving. I’m planning on a 12hr drive in a couple weeks too, so I really don’t want to deal with it when I’m getting nice and tired while I’m driving.

90% sure you can turn off lane keep assist in the gauge cluster settings. You can adjust the sensitivity, strength of the feedback, or turn it off entirely.

There's a hard button above the 12" center screen to turn off Lane Keeping. The beauty of it is it seems to remember your last setting so you don't have to turn it off everytime you start the truck.

Sweet. I’ll look next time I’m in it. I used the steering wheel and went to the settings and it doesn’t let me turn it off, just turn down the sensitivity.
