Is everybody wanting these anodized in the factory cap colors? Green, and blue? I ask because I know green doesn't always mean diesel at certain service stations.

They could also just be 'as-machined' aluminum, bead blast finished, or just black anodized.

I think black anodized for the fuel cap could lead to more confusion and lead to someone accidentally putting the less energy dense, forbidden gasoline in their truck.

I also like green and blue. Beside the possibility of putting the wrong fuel in the truck like mentioned with the black anodized, I think it would be easy to get sidetracked and not notice if you set the black anodized cap on your bed rail where as the green anodized would stand out more and be obvious. Maybe not something that is likely, but possible.

Unless Ford removed this nice little feature, the factory fuel cap holder keeps it off your paint

There won’t be tethers probably (alot more cost). The key stays in the cylinder while it’s unlocked. Also prevents you from driving away and forgetting your caps.

I want to embed magnets in the fuel cap but I doubt there’s enough room to do it, and if there's not I'd have to add a significant amount of aluminum axially for the design to accommodate it. Wanted to have a square VHB metal piece that would stick on the back of the fuel door. Problem is, the fuel pump nozzle would probably interfere with the cap in this area.
