Anytime my brother ???????

You might want to consider Daystar (or similar) airbag cradles so you don't tear your bags off roading (you will lose your airbag warranty with a cradle). You could also ditch the air bags for bump stop replacements like Sumo Springs or Timbrens.

So I was clearing up open tabs on my safari. I came across the Keystone RV Forum. I looked just to see what was said. Wow stirred them up. I stupidly stated that I talked about this subject to pull a 5er toy hauler with my Tremor on my Tremor Forum. I mentioned that lots of people were pulling them, and that I was going to just try it out with a lighter toy hauler from Grand Design. Boy they were all ripping me a new one. I felt like it was back n September and October and I started a thread on Support for President Trump. I had my posts pulled on our Forum. I will take everything into account. I probably won’t be able to get a 5er. I still have to just do more research.
I don’t like the RV Forum. Not because I wanted answers to justify me being able to get a 5er and them ripping me a new one. BUT BECAUSE I expected all Forums to be as great as this Forum is.
Thank You Dan aka Modified for putting together the best Forum for everyone. Even if you do not own a Tremor.
Here’s the link for anyone who wants to see how they reacted.

Ok I just read it all. Not as bad as I thought it’d be. I posted a negative comment about an artic cat F7 on hardcore sledder in 2006 and that post is STILL active. Haha.
thry almost killed me. Haha

There’s no need. I hated stirring the pot over there. We have something great over here. They were tight with most of their comments. Just a not that nice about it.
I really won’t have the capacity to pull it legal. No matter how much. Tweak shit I’m going to want to have the generator and tons of other shit.
You are a great friend my brother. ????

It’s just a reality check on my true status on what I should get. I don’t want to have to have any worries with towing and GOD Forbid I was to get in to an accident I don’t want to be in a bad situation.
The smart play is work my way up with a Travel trailer toy hauler. Get the 31G. Then down the road get me a 5er and the right rig to pull her.
I’m green. Way to green to get in over my head. Life is what we make of it and who we share it with. Wise decisions to enjoy life to its fullest.

I wouldn’t create an account. I was just joking. It’s a sensitive subject with a lot of people and unfortunately a lot of people tow WAY WAY WAY over loaded.
I blame a lot on manufacturers advertising “max” towing number which as misleading because that number is only achieved on a very specific spec’d vehicle.
then RV manufacturers with their 1/2 Ton towable lines. 99% of those are only 1/2 Ton towable with 1% of 1/2 tons.
You’re doing the right thing by educating yourself and nobody should be giving you a hard time for that.

I just politely responded and said I’m not going the 5er route as it would not be a wise decision. BUT I did say go and laugh and belittle the next dude that asks.
It was part of the lesson of if I should get one or not. Life lessons shouldn’t be easy. It should be a bit hard to get things right. Sometimes it can be easy, by learning from someone else’s mistakes. LOL

I did the same thing Iron Man is doing going back and forth between 5er and rear pull toy hauler. To stay in the weight specs of my 6.7L F350 Tremor at 3330#, I ended up looking at the two shortest Momentums which would likely put me right up against the limit once loaded up with their 2300-2400# unloaded pin weights.

The other option was to go with a lower end toy hauler like one of the three listed below. They are substantially lighter due to lower build quality and smaller tanks. In the end the wife made the decision easy for me and we bought a bunkhouse 5er.

Wow something else to consider. What brand exactly. And what is your hitch weight. I see this Sportster one that’s lite as shit. Pics would help also. Thanks Brother Man.

WOW, that forum is like a sharktank! So glad we help people that ask questions with respect. Like I always say, this forum is like family, when one of our family goes missing, we look for them to see if they are ok.

I want a quality axle and suspension, quality craftsmanship. I keep trying to get the 5er but I need to stick with a quality RV. As I flip flop back and forth I need to stick to my guns and look at some in person. Then stick to a decision. I have way too many wants. I must seriously figure out what sacrifices we are willing to make. I sincerely thank You for your wisdom and advice. Please keep chiming in. This may help some other people as well. ??????????

All 3 of those brands are out if your focus is quality materials and build. You are going to have to go small, rear pull, or lower end to hit the payload envelope without going to a more exotic setup like a slide in camper + equipment trailer, or pulling doubles.

Another option is to go F350/450 then you can get whatever 45ft+ 20k+ # toy hauler you want. If going that route, the F450 is generally the no brainer over the dually F350 but some state regs may flip that.

Keep in mind when going with toy haulers that large is that it massively limits where you can take the setup if its a regulated/commercial campground, national park, etc. Places that say they can take a 40 footer always fail to mention how much of a PITA it will be to get it to where it belongs. Also, some states have additional licensing due to the weights. For example, CA requires a non commercial class A license over 15k# trailer GVWR and a recreational trailer endorsement on a class C for 10k-15k#.

Its kind of a funny trade off that you lose 700# of payload when switching from the 7.3L gas to 6.7L diesel. The diesel tows substantially better but the gasser has a ~20% higher payload in the Tremor models.
