I know there are other threads, so forgive me if this has been addressed already. I want to get either a 5th Wheel Luxury Toy Hauler to bring my Harley/Harleys and maybe eventually a side by side. So this is what I really want.
Keystone Raptor 352 with a 17k GVWR and a hitch weight of 3,400lbs.
The Raptor is so nice. It has room for a washer and dryer in bed rm and not to interfere with the 11' garage but has G rated tires and a few less things that the Grand Design offer.

Grand Design 351M with a 16,800 GVWR and hitch weight of 2,785lbs
I love the 351M but washer and dryer hook up is in the 11' garage. H rated tires and great solar panel hook up with outside TV. Bad ass set up.

Grand Design 349M with a 17K GVWR and a hitch weight of 2,925lbs
The 349M has a 13' garage so i can put a washer and dryer there but a 1/2 a bath can be added but takes away from garage as the other 2 have 1/2 baths. TV Placement in main lv
rm is not as nice as the placement in the other 2.

Now i know JRod has a GD 350 5th wheel toy hauler. Cococounty has a 5th wheel toy hauler. My boy Danny aka Pappa Raptor just bought the GD Solitude 5th wheel. So I know it can be done but my carry payload is 3,052lbs. I would like to be legal BUT if I see others doing this I figure I would give it a try also.
I bought a Carli Pintop 2.5 kit with the works and still haven't had it installed yet. I was wondering if I can or maybe some of the parts. I can sell my fabricated radius arms. I bought a set of Method wheels with 37" Ridge Grapplers. I can sell the tires or even the whole wheel and get another set of 35" tires so not to raise my rig 2" more. Cody emailed me a while ago that the Carli Pintop would raise my rear 1" and the front end 2 1/2".
Can I get away with this? Savage hooked me up with the same set up he has and I also now have the firestone Ride Rite Red Label 7,500lbs air bags and I bought the ARB On Board air compressor.
Getting a dually is not the end of the world but why have my Tremor then. I bought my Tremor to pull an RV toy hauler. After seeing the difference of a Travel Trailer Toy Hauler and a 5th Wheel Luxury Toy Hauler there is no comparison with the 5th Wheel.
Will the 5th wheel smash into my on board air if it is set up in my bed? I saw on a video that our short beds should use a swing hitch. I have no expierence on RVing.
I foolishly went on a Keystone RV Forum and got yelled at for even bringing up the question of towing the heavy Keystone Raptor with a SRW and especially asking if a TREMOR would be OK. They are very arrogant bunch on that Forum. Oh well.
I want to order a new 2022 and want to see one in person first. Then I will place a custom order or see if something that meets my wants are available. I want to get one in the fall or better yet late winter so I can fully use it and not waste many months of a warranty on none use of it. My wifes dad is slowly getting worse with dementia and she doesn't want to be away for all that long.
Thanks for any wisdom that can help me figure out what I should get. ? ? ? ???
Donny Details ;)

You'll be extremely close, if not over the weight on just about all of those 5th wheels.

I will add though, I really like my Grand Design momentum 25G bumper pull. GD makes very nice trailers and I'm very pleased with mine.

Have you looked at the 320G?

I would probably go 351M out of your choices for the hitch weight especially if you’re going to be towing any longer distances. However with a couple thousand pounds in the garage area it should lower your hitch weight. I would want tires on truck rated 4000 pounds if towing with over 3000 hitch weight. You can add bags and sway bar to help if needed.

My advice is you will not need the washer and dryer setup like you think you will. I don't know about all the weight restrictions part, just have advice on the camper itself!

Yes I did. That’s a consideration if I can’t get the M class. I know it’s trivial but I love the options the M class give. I love the 60 gallon gas tank as opposed to the 30 gallon. But I will get what is the best for my Tremor to pull.
I’m still hoping on an answer on the suspension I have. I paid 8,400$ and it’s in a box collecting dust. I want to either sell the parts (hopefully not ) or install some or all.
Thanks for everyone’s advice.

As you posted, you have just over 3000 pounds of payload capacity on the truck, as it came from the factory. That‘s what Ford says the truck can safely handle for weight.

Subtract the weight of yourself and anyone else that will be traveling with you when towing the trailer, as well as the weight of the hitch you’ll use. That’s how much tongue weight you can handle.

IMO the Raptor will be well above the payload rating of the truck. Not just close to it or barely over.

Thanks brother. My wife watched a Utube video and said we must get a washer and dryer. LOL
We never RVd before. Shit I never backed up anything towing larger than my brother in laws boat and a couple small bike trailers. I don’t know what to expect exactly. But I’m a quick learner. I thrive in most things I do.

Yeah I figured as much. I have a friend on here that said his buddy had a single wheel Chevy Duramax 3500 and pulls a 44’ Momentum triple axle. He advised mdd Ed to pull a 5th wheel with my Tremor.
I asked the question and I’m getting true advice. So thanks for your wisdom.

My wife just said to me I know the #s but I’m looking for some people to say Go for it Donny. LOL. She is my wise ol lady. So I just may have to go with the 320G Momentum like Nick just so wisely mentioned with a hitch weight of 2,300lbs. Plus it’s only 36’ish as opposed to close to 39’.

Ironman, just remember when searching for trailers that you'll be much closer to the trailers GVWR vs the dry weight when the trailer is loaded up ready to go.

5th wheels usually figure 20% of this weight as pin weight.
It's doable as long as you do your homework but I see a lot of dually's pulling the bigger 5ver's.

And yes, I really like Grand Designs.

Thanks Marley. I like doable. Shit being a Union NYC Ironworker, many people would not even think of some of the things I would do daily. So I still have that crazy mentality even after getting so injured. I jumped out of the first plane i ever got to fly in and skydived at 21 yrs of age. I was that dude that just pushed the limits. The RV Forum did have some good advice when i said this same thing to them though. They said when I was on the Iron, 70 stories high, i was basicly risking my own life. Pulling something way over now risks others. I don't want that. So i have a lot to research and a lot of praying for me to be guided to make wise decisions. ? ? ? ;)???

Ya 320G seems like a much better fit for the truck. :)

And agreed with Marley that the Raptor is a much better fit for a dually.

How many people? Just you and the wife? Go smaller/lighter.

We have a Jayco Eagle H/T 264BHOK. They make a 5th wheel version. Plenty of room for me, wifey, 6 year old daughter and dog.

With something under 35' you'll be able to get into more spots and it will be easier to maneuver.

Looks sweeeet. Yeah it’s just me and my wife and our 3 little dogs. Now here’s the thing. We want to be able to, in the future, live a few months at a time doing the RV LIFE.
This is our dream. Well more like my dream and she’s starting to get on board after her dad is gone.
I’m 53 and now retired. After having that life changing accident and now losing my dad, I want to live life to it’s fullest. I don’t want to buy something and then a yr or two later upgrade to a bigger RV. That’s what Utube videos say is that your first RV is never your last. There’s a couple on UTUBE that have their channel Changing Lanes. They have the 397TH by Grand Design. It’s a triple axle with a 13’ garage. It’s the one I love. 43’ long. 20K GVWR. But they live in it year round. The guy has his Indian Full Dresser bike with him. Pulls it with a dually.
Now me of my brothers on here told me yo make sure I pull mine with my beautiful Platty F350 6.7 Tremor. That I won’t want to be stuck with a dually in other states. It makes so much sense to me. I bought my Tremor for this purpose. I LOVE MY TREMOR SO MUCH.
So now I need to compromise and get me a 5th wheel I can pull.
The 320G is the smart move. BUT I want to convince myself to get the 351M. We both love it. But again the smart move is the 320G.
G class is nice but the M class is Luxurious. I’m going to drop 100k$ on one. If I get something gor 80k and then trade up in a few yrs it seems to me like I’m throwing $ out the window.
Nobody said one word yet on the Carli suspension. I’m hoping for unrealistic dreams.
Don ???????

my wife wanted the Fuzion right off the bat ?.
35’ is a good length to hover around. I’m like you, had no experience. I love camping but some of those Campsites can get pretty tight. Anything over 40’ will limit where you can stay, even for quick overnights.
if you go heavy, it’s just tougher to drive. That’s all up to you. I hate white knuckle driving for 4 hours for quick 4 day trips.
You better clear some garage space for all the “much needed” RV gear you will need and never use. ?? Good luck, glad to see you active on the forum ?

I just looked at Fuzion. They all seem to be 39’ or more. What did you get exactly.
