Best lighting options for replacement fogs...

If you like the idea of backlights, it's not a bad option. Personally, I just don't care for the aesthetic of the DD stuff. We carry it and the output is good, but aesthetically, it's not my favorite.

I think the Factory Aftermarket bar with LP6 or LP9 lights looks better than this setup and has way more output. SS5 Pro CrossLink 5-light kit emits 48,000 lumens. LP6 Pro would be 56,125 lumens and LP9 Pro would be 62,735.

Another option would be the Baja Designs XL-Linkable kit which features 7 XL pods vs 5 shown above. I just think the XL-Linkable kits look sharp on these trucks. Less output vs the SS5, but we have had custom units built for guys that are all XL80 lights vs XL Sport lights.

Let me know if you have any other questions. Happy to help.
Is that factory aftermarket light bar really $700? I like the looks of it but am quite surprised by that cost. I think I saw BMC offers one for $300. Have you guys used that before cause seeing your pics I do think that the BD LP6 look the best. And you get more output.

It is - and it is on the high side. Baja Designs also offers their version with 5 LP6 lights. It comes out as a cheaper bundle and includes the wiring - backing out the cost of the 5 LP6 lights means ends up being around $640 for the bar and the wiring harnesses, so that gets you to about $400-450 for the bar.

BMC has two different versions of their light bar. They have the more square plate style unit that's $249, pictured below.

We did this version for @xrocket21 on his truck with his 30" Baja Designs S8 light bar, pictured below:

BMC also offers their Alpha light bar, if you prefer the more tubular look. It's $449 for this version, vs the plate style of the other bar. Alpha pictured below:

Tell me more! How does pricing compare to a setup running 5 LP series lights?
The upgrade is $124.95 per light and the total output for a 7-light Linkable is 63,154 lumens. Just slightly edging out 5x LP9 Pro lights at 62,735. 5x LP6 Pro would be 56,125 lumens.

Due to the power draw of the 7 XL80s at 38.5A, we do recommend wiring them up to either 2 separate upfitter switches or running external relays to power all 7 on the same switch.

Awesome! so slightly less cost and slightly more output than a setup running LP9's (and I agree, the XL linkable kit looks sooooo good on the 2020-2022 trucks). Not quite ready to drop $2500 on lights (still have to install the parts you sent me last week  ) but this is on the list now!

Sounds good, man. Happy to help when the time comes. Looking forward to seeing those new fogs installed!

Here's my $.20 adjusted for inflation: as a flashaholic (talking lights now) it comes down to need more than want. I have six flashlights. One of them has a 80,000 lumen setting. Guess how many times I've used that setting? Once, just to see what it looked like.

I recently added a Rigid E-Series Pro 10 light bar as mentioned in another thread (see here: Post in thread 'What did you do to your Tremor today?' https://www.fordtremor.com/threads/what-did-you-do-to-your-tremor-today.69/post-409161).

Most people add $2k-$3k in lights to look like the other guy they saw online. They'll never need or use that much light. It's just aesthetics at that point. If you're rarely in the middle of nowhere and don't do much off-roading , a simple light bar will do. You asked about a simple fog replacement and now you're getting bombarded with full blown $3k set-ups. If you're happy with the high beams as stated, be simple with a light bar or a basic set-up under the OEM fogs. Simple, sweet and easy on your wallet. 😉

Does that Baja Designs bull bar with the LP6 lights interfere with the front camera or cruise control? I really like the look of it, but I don’t want to lose any features of the truck.

There is no impact to the adaptive cruise control system. However, depending on where you place your lights, you may have an issue with the camera. A lot of guys who are wanting to keep the front camera will mount their lights with a gap in the middle to maintain visibility.

Thanks, I ordered the fog light kit and reverse lights from you all. Haven’t decided if I want to do the others yet or not. Thanks for the reply.

Thank you for your support!

Feel free to drop a line or send me a message if you'd like to chat further and go over specifics. Happy to help you find the right setup for you.

Has anyone converted LED fogs to Halogen brackets/bezels with the BD squadron lights? I have looked at the combo setup for my 22, but I’m not in love with the mounts and how they look on a non-black truck

For those interested in the BD fog kit I highly, highly recommend doing the wide cornering in amber Sports for fogs (they are definitely street friendly if aimed correctly) and clear Pros with spot lenses for the second pair. The Squadron sports simply do not have enough power for the combo or spot lenses IMHO. But the Pros are great. I just finished installing this setup on my 23 today with a set of XL80s in clear combo on the A pillars. Fricking incredible with all three sets on. Could not want for more. But I'll probably add those S1's to the XL 80s just because. LOL.

This is the second truck I have had that dual setup in the fog pockets on and would not want any other combo for that location with dual squadrons.

My King Ranch definitely underwhelms on low beams compared to my last three Rams with LED factory lights. The highs are better than the Rams though. These BD fogs definitely fill in where the factory lows lack.

Yes. We've had numerous customers go that route. You just buy the parts for the halogen housing and replace. Once done, you can do a BD Squadron factory replacement kit, or Diode Dynamics SS3 factory replacement and you're good to go.

Thanks! I’ve been trying to search but can’t seem to find any photos of that setup.

Here’s some old pics of my truck with that setup (your asking about the single fog kit right?).

Shameless promotion here but I actually have all the brackets and OEM adapter harnesses from Baja Designs leftover from when I upgraded to a dual light setup a couple of months ago. You’d just need a pair of lights.

I also have a complete bumper off of a 2021 (previous truck) with the OEM halogen fogs, brackets and bezels out behind the barn at my ranch back in TX, I’ll be back there in a week and could hook you up with those (assuming it has survived the weather over the last several years that it’s been sitting there). Shoot me a PM if you’re interested.

Best two I could find showing the lights:
