Halfway there….
I remember the nature version when she would carry parts of a tree instead of a belt.
Aww shucks.I think you may be a bit confused with your cartoonists because Dilbert's creator was Scott Adams who died not all that long ago but the image you posted is a Ben Garrison cartoon and as of a couple days ago he is very much alive. Lives one county away from mine here in Montana in fact.
He has a site that features most of his recent cartoons and a crapload of archived ones at his site:

I remember the day I took the worst beating of my life. I don't remember what I did. What I do remember is I got caught, went and got the switch (branch off of our plum tree), and handed it to my mom. She turned and walked away. The rest of that day after my dad got home is just fog in my brain.I remember the nature version when she would carry parts of a tree instead of a belt.
Hahaha! I just remember quickly learning that picking a skinny branch was the opposite of what you want. Also, don’t duck, dip, dive, or dodge. Take it and gauge reward/loss moving forward.
My grandmother would evaluate the branch chosen and if it wasn't acceptable, she was going for the super skinny ones. So you had to be strategic to get the thickest one you could get away with while not going too far and then getting the thinnest one she could find.Hahaha! I just remember quickly learning that picking a skinny branch was the opposite of what you want. Also, don’t duck, dip, dive, or dodge. Take it and gauge reward/loss moving forward.
No amount of pain equaled the pain my dad’s look of disappointment gave though. Not even close.
He lives one county over from you in Montana? So he lives on your property?I think you may be a bit confused with your cartoonists because Dilbert's creator was Scott Adams who died not all that long ago but the image you posted is a Ben Garrison cartoon and as of a couple days ago he is very much alive.
