2024 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build Thread

Any reason x plan pricing isn't showing for the 2024 yet? I see it for the 2023. Also heard on another forum you can't use x plan pricing on a 2024 in 2023? Any truth to this?
You can use x-plan on all Super Duties... when you place your order, the person who puts them in the system can check a box to have the plan pricing for a/z/x print at the bottom of the build sheet. Note: they lose that ability to add that info onto the sheet once the order is scheduled.

How do I know? My backup 24 order had this on my build sheet. I wasn't x-plan eligible when I ordered my 23 so it wasn't on the sheet initially, and they were able to add it later when I became eligible.

Nope. Anything beyond that is thread drift. I was a week and a half from my truck being built. Now I don't think I'll take it and maybe reorder later.
That’s a bummer you feel that way. You’ll possibly lose out if you cancel and try and order later. Ford makes billions off these trucks and cost of living is not getting any cheaper. I personally would like the people building my truck to be happy and like being at work doing what they’re doing. Yeah it sucks that we won’t get our trucks built as soon as we were thinking, but this stuff has to happen. Always has. Same thing out here with nurse unions in California. But that’s a whole tangent I’m sure no one wants us getting into on this thread.

I'm more concerned about possible QA/QC problems on a restart. I'm coming off a 14 day off period to run a nuclear reactor tomorrow, I'm going to be rusty. But that thing runs itself mostly. They forget a couple bolts or improper torque specs and your chasing ghosts for the life of your truck.

That’s totally valid. I definitely see your point.

The huge problem is a lot of America needs the Kentucky Plant trucks to keep food on the table and keep America running. Yeah we can coax a few more miles out of current trucks. But that affects reliability and being able to deliver. Also trucks are just getting too damn expensive for a lot of businesses and farmers. This strike isn’t going to help.
The previous Ranger /Bronco plant strikes didn’t affect things as much. Now business need to look at non-UAW trucks to keep business going.

I ordered a 24 on 9/23 with xplan no issue.

I also want to point out that Ford especially has made some insanely generous offers to the UAW. Offers that most rank and file UAW members would approve in a heart beat. But you can’t kill the business you work for either.
Really not sure the the UAW leadership is looking after their workers or the golden goose that provides the jobs and has to compete with the non union plants.
Ford has always prided and hyped that their products were built in America by American workers. They have promoted that and worked on making things work with an American work force more than any other car maker. But what good did all that do if they go backrupt due to naive UAW management. I’m with the workers. It’s obvious they chose the wrong leader at this point.

Ford said they are losing $48,000 a minute with this strike. This talk about bankrupting Ford is silly. You can't strike every year. With the profits they've seen in the last year - combined with the ongoing financial climate that doesn't seem to be correcting (inflation), they're trying to insure this deal will "future proof" the workers income.
