2024 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build Thread

Essentially yes, if your configuration has items that are in limited supply, your order won't get scheduled until they have all the parts to build it. If Ford exhausts supply for the model year, you'll want to decide whether or not to modify your order to remove said feature or wait until next year.
I still never got my question definitively answered about what "exhausted availability" really means. For example the list for this week (thanks FordVictum2023) shows among other things, exhausted availability for Platinum, Lariat and 7.3 engines. It is hard for me to believe that they will not schedule any more Lariats or 7.3s for MY24. Exhausted availability must mean for this weeks scheduling or something like that.

The dealer bulletin will have what it precisely means. If you look through the 2023 thread you'll find some posts where screen shots of the bulletin are posted. Here's an example:

Post in thread '2023 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build dates from Ford...' https://www.fordtremor.com/threads/...edule-build-dates-from-ford.11055/post-304498

Ford is managing inventory and typically will say that they're out of something or unable to build certain trims/options. This is usually for a defined period of time, but can be open ended. Exhausted means they are unable to schedule an order with the noted trim/option/part.

For example, they could have exhausted availability for ________ (e.g., Limited trims, 5th wheel prep package, etc..) for the month of November, or could just be for the week being scheduled. They will also advise when they have limited availability (so low on parts, but not out) to set expectations that there will be few orders with that trim or option scheduled.

The scheduling update comes out weekly (mostly) and Ford is typically referencing the scheduling production weeks in the update, unless they note something different. The Week 45 update shows "Exhausted Availability" for the 99N-7.3L engine... that is related to Ford's second bullet "Scheduling production weeks at KTP will be from 11/13 to 11/27"... there is "No scheduling at OHAP (Ohio Plant)" in this weekly update. Ford isn't saying anything about availability beyond the week of 11/27... You will see options that continue to repeat as availability issues, but they change.

Separately scheduling updates go out on Thursday, so you could get scheduled for the week of 11/20 when they do notifications. That means Ford "expects" to have everything they need for the build, not that they currently have it. If the 18 wheeler with the King Ranch Wheels on your truck doesn't show up as expected, your order date gets pushed back.

I have the max recline seats and they are really comfortable. Others have reported that they are better than the standard seat, especially for people with a larger stature (like me).

Not sure I'll ever use it to lie flat and sleep, but nice to know it would be more comfortable than the standard chair. It raises the back of the seat bottom and the shoulder section up to create a flatter surface than what you'd get with a standard chair.

Might be worth finding one on a lot to test drive.
Thanks for that. The more I see videos of the pillow thing at the top, the more I wonder about longevity and possible “grossness” developing behind that flap. But that’s my overly analytical brain whispering in my ear.

Can anyone tell me if the 24 Lariat ultimate gets LED reflector or projector headlights? I'm assuming its reflector and projector are for higher trim.

Lariats come with the following lighting:

● Headlamps – LED Reflector
● Halogen with LED Reverse Taillamps
● LED Foglamps
● Mirrors – Power-folding with Autofold, PowerScope® Telescoping, Power Glass Trailer Tow Mirrors with Heat, Turn Signal, Memory, High-Intensity LED Security Approach Lamps, Utility Lighting

The Lariat Ultimate package doesn't change lighting, but does add Auto High Beam.

You might find it helpful to download the 2024 order guide which has all of the standard, optional, and package options listed for each trim. It's linked to the first post on this thread.

Thanks, I wish I had that when I built the truck at the dealer. Not a huge deal but I'm assuming you can just change out for LED projector lights later on, correct?

You can upgrade the headlamps afterwards. If you want OEM, it may require you to have the bed scales since they rely on those sensors for the auto leveling functionality. Morimoto might be a cheaper option and pretty popular alternative. It may be a wait as Morimoto hasn't come out with a kit for the 23s yet.

@Nick@ApolloOptics any insight on when the Morimotos will be available for the 23s?

I have the smart scales on my build.

We know that they're being worked on, but no word as of yet.

Does anyone know if the 40/20/40 bench seat Lariat comes with heated rear seats? The official build sheet only specifies for the console config.

Seeing reports of people with 10/16 production week already getting “In Production” status and window stickers. (Tuesday (today) the week before production) Also that stickers don’t show up in the build site sticker link but only at the Ford direct site.

Those with 10/26 builds, check your status and your window stickers on the Ford direct window sticker site

Well, I've been on the fence on ordering a 2024. But I think I just fell off. ClaudeSS, the record production back in August 2023 were they MY 23 trucks? When did the MY 24 ramp up? Someone mentioned there were still a lot of 23 MYs on the lots. Must be in another state. I'm not seeing many 23 or 24 MY F250 trucks in any trim around central Alabama. Not counting white base model XL or XLT work trucks. And Tremors are about as common as an Ivory Billed Woodpecker.

When should dealer inventories start getting the 2024 Tremor models on the lots. Or, are all the Tremors special ordered and spoken for??

I hear from the dealerships six to nine months if I order a Tremor today. So I'm thinking I may just search for a Tremor on a lot or in transit. One that is close to what I would order. As I may can be swayed on a few options. And not stuck just on one color or trim package. No less than the Lariat trim I have on my 02 and 19. Would consider a higher trim with exception of the King Ranch. Would consider a F250 or F350 for that matter. Thinking I may be able to luck up and get a Tremor one in maybe three months instead of six to nine months

Finding the exact truck is going to difficult to find. As my 2019 F250 6.7L Black Widow Edition is loaded with everything but the camera package. And I love my truck and do not want to go backwards on options and features unless I find one that just feels right.

The camera package is the only reason I'm considering a new 24 truck. I retired earlier this year. And purchased a 42' RV last year. Looked at aftermarket camera systems. But I have just not found any that excite me. And I really do not want to add another monitor in the cab just for another camera system.

August was MY23 production... MY24 started in October, so highly unlikely that any have made it to dealers yet. Maybe dealers in the KY area will start seeing them start to trickle in next week.

I've seen a number if dealers posting on Facebook that they have 23s for sale, even some Tremors. I'd be surprised if we see any dealer stock orders with the Tremor package anytime soon as those didn't start showing up at dealers until the last couple of months. If you're wanting to find a 24 Tremor sitting on a lot, it will be a while.

I don't think 6 - 9 months is going to be the wait going forward. With MY23, it was months before people started reporting they had an order scheduled. For MY24, we're seeing orders scheduled early in the production run. Things seems to be returning to "normal" (whatever that is nowadays) and your specific configuration and dealer allocation will be bigger factors on how long you wait.

Autotrader has 191 new Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum trucks posted as of today... unsure how many of these have the Tremor package. Generally these are not sitting long on lots. My dealer had a couple Lariat Tremors on their lot this past week, but those could be sold by now.

I just did a Ford inventory search of Lariat with Tremor Pkg within 100 miles of northern VA and there are 86 2023 trucks currently available. Plenty of color options.

I’m curious what opinion do you need to get to have factory installed air bags ? And is it something a dealer can install later ?
