2024 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build Thread

How are people checking this. I'm logged into Ford and it won't let me track my truck
You should of gotten an email telling you your truck was scheduled to be built. You can track it through that email.

The link takes me to the tracker page, but when I hit track I get session expired refresh page.

US Scheduling Information for this week Thursday October 12, 2023View attachment 132336
When it shows Max Recline seats as being exhausted. Makes sense that new orders won't be able to get that option but what about orders placed a couple months ago? Are the looking ahead and saying that based on what's in the build que they are exhausted going forward or are they saying if you have a truck in the que but not scheduled then you will need to remove that option to get scheduled?

I just don't get how they can be exhausted when it's the new model year. I get it's carry over from the 23MY but still... Ford needs to figure out their supply chain issues.
So just a guess. My explanation is that Engines, Trims, and transmissions have to be built at a steady rate year round.

But the mix of trims, engines and transmission being built changes during different parts of the year.

Last year we had a Job 1 of only lower trims, and then a Job 2 starting in April trying to catch up on the higher trims.

Those higher trims are more likely to use the larger transmission and 7.3 and diesel engines compared to XL trim vehicles built during Job1. Also August 2023 saw a record Super Duty production. Which burned through a lot of components.

Then you have the phenomenon that early retail orders tend to be of luxury trims with
larger engines.

All of the above has hit to require many more than the monthly production averages of the larger transmission, 7.3 engine and diesels. Which has caused all three of those components to become scarce or exhausted until things settle out in a few months.

The 10R140 transmission has been on the radar since end of August as having a potential future supply problem given how many were used in the record August build and the percentage needed for early retail orders Oct - Nov. And after all the Oct-Nov builds, will be in limited supply by December. They will catch up again late winter / spring.

They aren’t really “out” of anything. They’ve just used more than the monthly build averages due to order mix and need to catch up.

If you haven’t been scheduled, you won’t be (or there is a very very small chance you’ll be) scheduled if you have an option on the exhausted list. Doesn’t matter when you placed your order. Remove those options if you need the truck soon. Otherwise you’ll wait to be scheduled until December or later.

If you’ve already been scheduled, then the parts were available for your truck as of the scheduling date.

This is what's annoying... If you're scheduled, Ford says they have the parts to build your truck, but now, they're pushing all these build dates back cuz they don't have the parts... It seems quite backwards at the moment.

Can anyone attest to the wait for the max recline being worth it?

I have the max recline seats and they are really comfortable. Others have reported that they are better than the standard seat, especially for people with a larger stature (like me).

Not sure I'll ever use it to lie flat and sleep, but nice to know it would be more comfortable than the standard chair. It raises the back of the seat bottom and the shoulder section up to create a flatter surface than what you'd get with a standard chair.

Might be worth finding one on a lot to test drive.

Does anyone know if the max recline seat works for the passenger while driving? Only selected it for my wife who has a bad back and lying down helps. If you can't use it while driving I'll change my order since they appear to be exhausted

I can't imagine why it wouldn't work. I don't see the vehicle automatically folding the passenger seat back up if you place the transmission into Drive when your passenger took a rest while you were parked (scenario).

Or, you may have had something intentionally lying flat on the passenger seat for transportation that you wouldn't suddently want snapped in half or bent.

It does. You get a warning on the dash, but that’s it.

Thank you for the info. With all the nannies I wouldn't have been surprised if they wouldnt let you put it in gear or prevented you from fully reclining while in motion.

There’s plenty of dealer stock order 2023 on lots. If you can find something close to your build on a lot, might be worth buying that 2023.

I felt the max recline was a lower cost option worth ordering in case I ever needed it. My guess they’ll become available in the coming months as soon as the early retail orders get built and the mix of max recline seats goes back to the estimated normal.
They added the max recline to the lower trims for 2024 and probably got a lot more orders compared to estimates.

I don't need the truck until April so if I'm reading you correctly my wife will get her max recline seat even though it shows exhausted. Just a wait for it kind of thing?

My truck that I ordered on 7/26 got scheduled last week for 11/13. I ordered a 24 F250 Lariat, Ultimate, BAP, Tremor w/ max recline, moon roof, supp cab heater, block heater, cab lights, spray in liner.

Essentially yes, if your configuration has items that are in limited supply, your order won't get scheduled until they have all the parts to build it. If Ford exhausts supply for the model year, you'll want to decide whether or not to modify your order to remove said feature or wait until next year. Ford may also remove said item from all remaining orders and build them without, so that is where you'd want to let your dealer know if you want to keep the order.

For example, the end of MY23, they ran out of the parts for the multicontour seats (the massage feature) and so all remaining orders had them removed . I chose to take mine without this while others have opted to wait and get a 24 instead.
