Here it is from the 2024 order guide. Notice that it says that Tremor package includes Off-Road Running Boards without any exceptions for trim level and then under options available it says Power-Deployable Running Boards (18E) again with no conditions on trim level other than that you cant get power boards on a Lariat with 40/20/40 front seat. Then notice the note that says "Note: Tremor content replaces existing base vehicle and package content" which means that off-road boards replace whatever boards are there before the Tremor package is added.

I'm not certain what the conclusion is on the running boards.
I will say that it occurs to me that this could be an error in the Ford ordering software, but no person in authority has advised me as such. Rather, Ford happily took my order and deposit and has responded with a production date without ever indicating a problem with the inclusion of the power running boards.
Does anybody reading this have official information indicating that Ford's ordering system and customer communication
is in error when it accepts orders for a "SD Tremor Lariat Ultimate" inclusive of power running boards at no extra charge for the power running boards?
If my vehicle arrives w/o power running boards I will formally complain, for whatever it's worth.
The ordering app, and my dealer, enabled / allowed me to order the power running boards. Based on my order, I would expect the power running boards to be on my vehicle as a "no additional cost" option.
The concerns seem to revolve around that the "Ultimate" package comes with power running boards (I don't remember exactly) and of course the "Tremor" package comes with Tremor running boards. When selecting
both packages, the ordering software allows the customer / dealer to select EITHER the power running boards or the Tremor running boards as a no-cost option. This selection becomes baked-in and is not over-ridden on the order.
I selected Power Running Boards because 1) I think I would appreciate and value Power Running Boards (as long as they did not cost me an additional $1,000) and 2) Based on the written customer communication and ordering software, Ford was offering those Power Running as a no-cost option on the Tremor Lariat Ultimate and 2a) I concluded the no-cost option likely related to the Power Running Boards being "standard" on the "Ultimate" package, 3) Power Running boards are normally around a $1,000 option, so if I didn't like them and wanted heavy duty sliders, maybe I could sell the power running boards when I removed them, and 4) When ordering a Tremor Lariat Ultimate there is no stated credit when selecting the Tremor running boards in lieu of the Power Running boards. 5) If I was to select some version of "high and tight" fixed running boards, I might prefer a more robust after market option vs. the std. Tremor boards. Hence, taking the power running boards as a "no cost option" and potentially later replacing them with an after-market option was a reasonable gamble for me.
