2023 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build dates from Ford...

This seems to be the best thread related to ordering a Tremor. Want to snag an "I'm out of the Army" present for myself and order a 23 King Ranch with the Tremor package, but the dealers in ATL seem to have a hard time knowing anything related to when order banks will be accepting them. I have a build put together on Fords site, and I'm ready to pull the trigger on it, just trying to get an idea of the "how". Sorry about the potentially stupid questions. I've just never had a new vehicle before and am not super sure how to go about buying the damned thing. Any insight on when I can get this thing secured?

Nobody seems to have a firm answer on that.

Some have insinuated that the higher trim trucks (KR, Platinum, Limited) have been cut off for '23, but you can still order a Lariat and below. I have seen several posts lately of guys successfully ordering Lariats, so maybe there's some truth to that.

But this just just pure, unadulterated here say - I do not know either.

Some have placed orders through Granger who was offering $1,500 over invoice. Zach there posted a few weeks ago that the cut off for Platinums, Limited and F-450s was November 16th. Haven't seen anything for King Ranch or below.

With order banks opening on 10/27, you may face a few challenges - Ford has received 100K+ orders, so you'll be pretty far down the the list placing an order at this point. With Tremors accounting for 5% of the annual production, your order might not get picked-up. That said, there doesn't seem to be any real queue and orders seem to be picked-up almost at random (assuming you don't have any options that are under constraint). A King Ranch and above trims won't get scheduled until Ford starts working on Job 2, which is starting in Spring. Dealers can take a King Ranch and above order now, they'll just code it with a priority code 99 until job 2 production starts and then you'll want to get the dealer to change it to a priority code 10 up to 19 (lower is supposedly better, but that is not absolute). The 99 code means the factory won't schedule the order and allows you to finalize options for the items that are currently not available to include in a build configuration (e.g., Black Appearance Package).

My recommendation is talking to your local area dealers about placing an order. Most won't accept any special pricing (e.g., x-plan) for a custom order, particularly a Tremor, but some on the forum have been successful with getting this pricing if that's available to you. Most dealers will sell an order at MSRP, but that is not universal as other forum members have been able to negotiate pricing down or found a dealer like Granger who is offering a deal on an order (Granger's allocation is spoken for and there's a waitlist, so don't waste time there).

Speaking of allocation, you'll want to discuss with the dealers you speak with what their allocation is for super duties and how many orders they have, and how many they're planning to receive each month. For example, if the dealer has an allocation of 120, they'll likely receive about 10 trucks per month on average. If they've taken 120+ orders, your chances of getting one through that dealer is limited and will rely on either someone canceling their order or not getting picked-up due to constraints or Ford's seemingly random selection of orders.

Once you get an order placed, you may (or may not) get an order confirmation email from Ford. Just make sure your dealer has your correct email address in when they place the order. Most of us have received the confirmation, but there are a few who haven't. At that point, you'll want to check-in when you see posts or news that Job 2 is being scheduled to confirm the details of your order with your dealer so they can change the priority code from 99. Then it is just a waiting game from there (be prepared to wait a really long time). :)

Hi All - New Tremor member!

I ordered a 23 F-250 Lariat on 11/28/22, received text & email from Ford before leaving the Dealership. I changed my truck order on 01/03/23 to an F-350 Lariat Tremor with no issue from Ford.

Stephen, first, thank you for your service! May I recommend calling Shottenkirk Ford in Jasper, GA. I dealt with Rick Biles and Sayed Hassan. They are good to work with. Email Rick your build and then give him a call, [email protected] (706) 692-6467, Sayed (770) 652-0505. Good luck

Stephen, just a few more things. It took Rick about 30 to complete the order as he already had my build. Then I got my confirmation email within a half hour. Jasper is only 1.5 hours north of ATL on 575. If you are inclined, I have Sayed a heads up that you may be calling him.

I was able to order a Lariat last week and got x plan pricing with no haggling on it or anything. I got the confirmation email immediately, so here is to hoping I'm not waiting too too long. Just adding another data point.

Can anyone help figure out what code ( 99 or what ) my order is set at or where I can find it?

In my confirmation email that I can view on fords website, it has a progress bar up top. Does that progress update and I can just use that to track the order?

The progress bar is more static and an actual bar. You should get an email letting you know your truck has advanced to the next step and the bar in the email will correlate with that step. Logging online provides the exact same picture as the email sadly.

I got my order in the day the order banks opened. Didn’t really matter I guess since I’m going BAP on a lariat ultimate package, job 2. No emails or anything from ford. I did call to confirm both with the dealer and Ford that the order is in. Long wait ahead. I just can’t wait to see what the BAP will actually look like on this new truck.

Just wondering, is the BAP the sport appearance package? I also went with the Lariat ultimate with the sport appearance package and my order is a job 1, priority 19. My ordering manager assured me my truck will not be delayed due to the appearance package. Fingers crossed!

Hey man, I appreciate all this! I did end up going to a local dealer, Hennessy in ATL, and they were awesome. Like, literally could not have had a better dealership experience. They had me going through all their 2022s looking at options in person, let me drive a 22 250 and a 350 to tell the difference, make sure I had all the options I wanted, and then ordered it for me. Placed it yesterday, go the email this morning that its been sent to Ford as a schedule 10. So now its just a waiting game.

BAP is different than the sport package. I think my guy at the dealer added sport package for now and then will change to BAP when it becomes available this spring.

Great news brother! Now we play the waiting game.

The WORST game lol. But I'm stoked. I've never bought a new vehicle before, and I'm very excited. And very stoked to see what it can do. Love my Trailhawk, but this thing will be on a different level. It's cool that there's such a good forum for it too.
