2023 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build dates from Ford...

So I was at my dealer today to sign for fleet trucks that I ordered and checked on my 2023 order and got good news which was immediately followed by bad news. I ordered F350 Tremor in October when order banks opened but elected for job 2 as I wanted BAP. Recently my order was pushed through and changed from priority code 99 and my dealer hooked me up with new priority code 10. Today he said my build is scheduled for the week of 4/24 which was exciting to hear. Then the GOOD NEWS quickly turned to BAD NEWS!!! After a few moments he says it looks like ford dropped the BAP from my order. I confirmed with him when he changed the priority code from 99 to 10 that he had added the BAP to the order and he said he did. Now he tells me the system will not allow him to make any changes since build is scheduled.

He said he could place a new order, but that puts me at the back of the line when I originally ordered in October at the front of the line. If I stick with the truck I ordered then I don't get BAP which seems petty but when spending $90k on a truck I expect I should get what I want. If I wait for I want, I will expect to be a 2024 build and I no longer get locked into the price protection that I had when I ordered back in October, and I can see from his new order that he put together that some of the pricing has already gone up and makes the truck around $2K more than it was and thats not including the BAP which adds $4295. The winch alone is $995 more than when I ordered in October.

I called Ford customer service and they could pull up my order but could not see all details about the order because the VIN does not yet pull up a window sticker. He basically pointed me back to the dealer. So basically the dealer blames ford and ford blames the dealer and I am just stuck in the middle screwed either way with no course of action to correct somebodies dumb mistake.
Probably actually saved some money. Take the truck without the BAP. In the 22s, it included LEDs for the 4k price tag. Now it doesn't include those. All the blacking out can be done for way less than 4k.

Build out for the 23s is going to be in October. Order banks for the 24s are opening in July and will start building in October!!

I think getting fender vents, grill, and ford emblems blacked out would be no big deal. I ordered a Lariat though and without BAP it’s going to come with chrome bumpers rather than color match. And last thing, on previous models the headlights were tinted darker, I’m not sure how much that would add to do aftermarket but I figure painting bumpers would and all the blackout would add up quick. Open to input though! Just frustrated to place a 90k order and still need to work on it to get it like I want it.

Ya that sucks...if you don’t NEED the truck yesterday I would just wait for the 24

I wanted a BAP package but the value isn't there and I don't want to wait...

I'm planning on Warn ascent HD front bumper for a full frame winch and matching Warn rear bumper anyway... then black the rest out myself, new grill, black badges, add Morimoto LEDs... excluding the bumpers which I was going to get, all that's cheaper than the 4K or whatever they want for the BAP today. And I'll have LED lights on my Lariat.

Just give me a VIN. Haha

Will they have completed all job 1 builds before job 2 builds start?
From what I understand, they just expand what they're producing to include all trims and options, taking what they've learned from making less complex builds and making adjustments. I've always heard you never want a job 1 build on the first year following any major update because that is usually the run that sorts out all of the QC issues.

Thanks for clarifying. I guess there's some silver lining that my truck isn't getting built yet...

Has the dealer told anyone else that their order was previewed by FORD? Was ordered months ago.
I stopped by my dealer on Monday and just received an email from the internet sales manager informing me that my truck is tentatively scheduled for production on May 1st. I have not received anything from Ford, however my dealership also provided me with a VIN number. My order was placed on March 1st. F350 XLT Lariat with the panoramic moon roof, ultimate package, spray in bedliner, wheel well liners, front and rear, FX4 and plow package with the 7.3 liter engine. It's good to see things starting to move along and hopefully my update will give others who are waiting hope that their trucks will be built soon. Good luck everyone.

The F350 XLT Lariat is a rare trim package!

Had you received any correspondence from Ford prior to this?

Found out from my sales guy today that my order is "unscheduled clean" and with a priority code 10, he's not sure why the order hasn't been scheduled. They're a high volume super duty dealer so it isn't an issue of allocation.

@marine_wi - Any luck on your end?

Nothing. I was going to reach out to Granger and see if they had any insight but a couple of weeks ago, Ford chat said I was unscheduled clean as well. The last I saw I was still a priority 19. I did hear that supposedly they moved Job 2 start date to be tomorrow. Sooo.... 🤷

Ugh. Just got this email.
"I wanted to let you know some damages were noticed on your truck upon arrival. There were scratches on the driver's side front door panel, the passenger side front and rear box corners, and on the driver's side front door sill as well as a chip on the driver's side c-pillar. It was taken to a local body shop for repair before I was notified of the damages, so I'm afraid I don't have any pictures for you. When I hear an ETA for repair completion, I will be sure to let you know!"
