Chatted with ford today and they said they were addressing the issues with the US ford site today and tomorrow and how everyone is having to use the Canadian site…maybe that has something to do with it

No one knows. But I believe Granger said that it would be a possibility they would send the truck through without the option then. But on Facebook, some dealers are saying that it wouldn't be scheduled if it was standard equipment but it could be scheduled if it was a selected Job 2 option but it would be built w/o the option and the buyer would be screwed, if they didn't put it at 99. So who actually is right?

No, they’ll give you something like a $300 credit which is bullshit like they did for the contour seat. They basically give you a credit for their cost not the cost for you to put it in.

I work at the Kentucky Truck Plant where it's built, it's an all new superduty truck and Ford hasn't got the ok to release any 2023 trucks yet. A certain number have to be built and released with no quality issues. We've got almost 30,000 superdutys built and parked around the city waiting for the ok to be released and shipped. Parts are the main reason for the delay.

Saw this on another forum posted about 15 minutes ago. So looks like oktb, parts and epa holdups at his point.

With what I've heard are 250k+ orders in queue, assuming they give the OKTB next week, Ford would have to deliver 5,000 trucks a week to fill orders. They can make 1,500 a day so it will be dependent on parts constraints and the shitshow the rail system and overall transportation system is at the moment

Is it too premature to state that FY23 will be the "lost" model year? Ford leadership needs a shake up - they are not delivering product, time for accountability at the top.

I would say 2024 will be a lost year at this rate…eventually the 2023 trucks will start to be delivered and they are still delivering new 2022 trucks. At this rate there will be a point where Ford will have to stop taking orders and solely focus on filling existing orders and complete already built but not completed orders.

It will be interesting to see what impact Farley slashing bonuses for top management has. Ford Authority previously reported that the CFO was put in charge of fixing the supply chain issues a few months ago, but don't know what experience he has or the new VP over this area - John Jennings has with managing supply chains.

Ford's supply chain is so complex that I can't imagine there is much they can do to fix anything quickly and should focus on assuring this doesn't happen in the future. The chip shortage is the most frustrating as I recall their supplier stating the Ford waited too long to place the order for chips and if they had done so sooner they would have had a guaranteed supply. Since they use such an old technology, there are not many people making these for them to find alternate suppliers. While I'm generally not a fan of much Tesla does, they designed and manufacture their own chips for their vehicles so they are not competing with others and have a more secure supply chain in this regard.

Just submitted my order for a '23 F-250 Lariat Tremor 6.7HO. Dealer told me there's about a 10% chance it will ever get built, and they were notified yesterday they will only receive 45 allocations for MY '23 SDs. Here's to hopin'

I'm not sure what to believe from this video. It appears that what I've ordered has been at least partially built, (less a micro chip and some add-ons):

• F-250 XLT Crew Cab Tremor 6.7 HO, 3.55, (Packages: Tow tech, 360 camera, Spray-in bed liner, Retractable tonneau, Pro-power), ordered on 11/21/2022 (Priority Code 19)
• Scheduled for production 1/24/2023

• Micro Chip On Hold at Plant 1/30/2023
• Last status update 2/8/2023

I am glad I didn't go down the road of getting a new '23. That was my original plan after they had their big reveal last October.
