2023+ ForScan Spreadsheet

Yea, I have that on, it still doesn't populate a number for the oil temp, so weird. Nothing for the tach even though it's been available on multiple models and even older year model SD's. Hoping someone here knows if and how it can be done.
Dumb question probably but are you sure it’s set to oil temp, not oil pressure? No numerical readout for pressure because that data isn’t available. It’s a switch if I remember right.

Nvm, just saw you figured it out 👍

Yea I've been meaning pressure all along, was just saying temp stupidly. Cleared that up with Zoodad above. Sucks they don't offer it.

Definitely dumb.
they don’t even monitor oil pressure, just the go/no-go sensor, the same as they have for decades. Which is kind of stupid given idle oil pressure can provide a lot of information. Ford could just delete the gauge and use an idiot light since that’s all you are getting

Spot on!

There is a FORScan setting to turn on parking lights with DRLs. That might do the trick.
I have tried all of the DRL and park lamp changes in Forscan and they still dont come on with the parking lights, unless the switch is turned on. They do still come on with the park lights when the door is opened and truck is off.

This is the disadvantage of having the BCM control everything. The FORScan options have to be coded to enable the trailer wiring.

It sounds like you will have to rewire the trailer harness to make it do what you want. Personally I preferred not turning on the trailer lights when I switched to the integrated auxiliary trailer camera.

Our trucks do monitor oil pressure WE just can’t monitor it. The new iDash has the BID for it and it works. Too bad they have all but stopped support on the classic.

ZooDad
On the 7.3 or just the 6.7?

this is good to know. I like being wrong about features that exist

So... I'm sure this has been mentioned. But the name... Forscan? Doesn't bother anyone? Are Fords uncircumcised? 😂

That is surprising to me. I was not aware there was any oil pressure sensor other than a pressure switch. Is the sensor actually a transducer and Ford (who thinks we are all idiots) just displays good/bad to the operator?

Based on the reading, it reads actual pressure and doesn’t just do the good/bad like fords have done a lot in the past on gauges.

Random readings. The 97 was short but was reading that on a cold start and quickly dropped.

I changed the threshold on my TPMS to 50psi and I’m getting this screen with no pressure on the lights still on. Anyone know why?
