I think the reality here is that no one outside of Ford would know that information. I would like to think that from a legal standpoint that Ford couldn't make that possible.

Air Bags are separate system. Seat belts won't lock, not wearing them ?

That was my question exactly. These trucks monitor seatbelt usage for air bag deployment and things like that. Additionally, there are seatbelt pre-tensioners and other things like that.

Personally, the only times I'm not wearing a seatbelt is when I'm driving in the neighborhood, ranch roads, etc. But the rest of the time when I'm on the road, I'm belted. I would want to the truck to know that the seatbelts are in use and to be actively monitoring occupants.

That's what I was trying to clarify.

It does and I was able to get it done today. The instructions that I found to get it done were different in my manual. My truck has the full digital dash. The seat belt indicator light never shuts off.

The procedure I used to complete this actually came from Reddit:

1. Parking Brake On w/ All Doors Closed.
2. Ignition On
3. Wait for chimes to stop.
4. Buckle unbuckle 3 times.
5. Wait 4 seconds.
6. Buck unbuckle 1 time.

I repeated the same thing for the Passenger's side and was able to get it to work.

I still get the red/green icons in the center of the dash, but I'm fine with that for my use.

I can answer for the tighteners. My daughter says they work because I will drive off before she puts it on and then she can't get it to let loose after I push the brakes. Not slam, just feather them for my street gutter. And I have my seats "deleted" as far as possible from the sensors. Now, as far as the airbags go, I think we need someone to take one for the team

Ok, here we go...

I've scoured the Internet and other forums about my issue with my new truck. (2023 SD Lariat Ultimate) I've accomplished almost everything I wanted via Forscan which is about half of what's on the spreadsheet ( thanks to ZooDad). My truck had many of these mods already enabled.

The problem I'm having is the endless honking or 'chirping' as some might call it. And to be clear I'm not talking about the double honk on exit while running. That was the first thing I disabled. I'm talking about locking/unlocking with the remote, grabbing the handle with my hand or remote start via the key fob or the Ford pass app. If I unlock the drivers side door using all of the above it honks twice. When I lock it any way it honks once. If I remotely start it with the key fob or app it honks three times when I open the door. Very annoying. I've read on many forums and in the manual that if one holds both the lock and unlock buttons simultaneously the lights should flash and that turns the honk/chirp function on and off. I've done that and yes, my lights flash and nothing is different.

On a side note, when I attempted to enable the double lock button 'car finder' feature via Forscan it did not take. Don't know if that's related. Any help would be appreciated.

Just to follow-up here, the red/green seat icon in the center stack goes away after about 20 seconds of driving.

Unfortunately I am not able to confirm that is the case.
They are two different systems.

Not a fun event. But I had been disabling the chimes in every SD I have ever owned. I am pretty leery of telling a computer that the seats just don't exist.

When all of the airbags went off, were there passengers in all seats? Or heavy things the truck would assume were kids/light adults?

Same. That's why I used the owner's manual method. The seat map with the red/green lights goes away after 15-20 seconds. Good enough for me.

I use my 2025 F-250 Tremor mostly to tow a travel trailer, that has a rearview camera powered by the running lights. Has anyone had any luck getting the trailer running lights to come on with the DRL's when the headlight switch is in Auto? Changing BCM 726-38-01 (Running Lights w/DRL) doesn't activate the trailer running lights, only the truck's. (On the F-150 I traded in for the F-250, the option to include parking lights with the DRL's did also activate the trailer running lights.)

So, I'm wondering if there's a different module that controls the trailer lights that needs to be programmed in a similar fashion to the BCM to get the trailer running lights to come on with the truck's DRL's...

I saw another thread where a Canadian F-250 owner had trailer running lights come on whenever the ignition was on, regardless of whether the transmission was in Park or Drive (and was seeking to disable it). Which, is actually how I'd rather have mine working if possible (so doing a diff of the as builts between an equally configured US F-250 and a Canadian F-250 might shed some clues -- but I'm guessing there would probably be a lot of differences that would need to be vetted).

What an absolute nightmare trying to change tire circumference. I was able to try several variations but all would end up with U0422 error which was through reading fine and resetable, though, the change spawned multiple other codes which I could not clear, even when barely over default value. Ended up just reverting to stock value.

Did try variations from earlier in the thread of known working values.

There is a recalibration procedure you have to follow. There’s a good walkthrough on YouTube. Works like a charm and the only restriction that I am aware of is max circumference.

Ah, so this would be done after changing the value? Then all codes clear, or do I still have to reset them?

By chance have the link? I have a hard time digging through threads to find exactly what I'm looking for.
