It's fun to see others that are experience in towing, also having difficulty in some situations. I too have been towing trailers for the better part of 40+ years and every once in a while, get myself into a head scratching ordeal. Managed to get through every time though, with a little ingenuity.View attachment 105614
I’ve been pulling campers for 15 years, and have even more time pulling trailers. It took me an hour to get backed in to this site. Blindsided into an almost 90° site, in the dark, with trees at both front corners of the site, and more tree across the road. What a PITA!!!
But we had a great thanksgiving trip. Lots of hiking and biking.
I believe before a couple gets married, as a test of thier enduring love. They should have to back up a travel trailer in perfect harmony before being approved. It's fun to see others that are experience in towing, also having difficulty in some situations. We work together pretty good. I’ve never asked or needed another camper to help. But a guy came over while we work working on it. And it was a ton of help. He watched my front end while the wife was at the back of the camper. Teamwork and patience.I believe before a couple gets married, as a test of thier enduring love. Pro Trailer Backup Assist is a true marriage saver. I don't end up using it often but when we start to get on each other's nerves, I just leave her back there and use the cameras.I believe before a couple gets married, as a test of thier enduring love. Funny story. We would argue about lining our camper up at the curb in front of the house before and after every trip. She'd stand out back saying one thing and I'd be in the driver's seat seeing another. Could NEVER get the damn thing in straight no matter how many times we tried. I finally stuck a magnetic bluetooth camera I was using to hitch up, on the camper step and did it myself. ...you'd never know by looking at it, but it turns out the fkn thing is a damn trapezoid (tapers in slightly towards the tongue) and neither one of us were ever gonna get it lined up from the other's perspective. We have a system now that works good. Ha no thats my neighbors GMC!On the last picture in the background is a Tremor?
Is it possible that there are picture from exact this tremor in this forum???
Agree - Travel trailer is step one and once they accomplish that in harmony they would step up-down and have to back up a single axel Sea Doo trailer - if they survive that - well then years of wedded bliss ahead!I believe before a couple gets married, as a test of thier enduring love. Considering a wolf creek myself…can you comment on any necessary upgrades outside of tie downs etc that were needed?
What's your tongue weight with that camper? The Weight Safe hitch is great for knowing your weight in real time.Added a set of Timbrens to the rear of truck. I went with the ones spec'd for the F250 based on measurements on my truck. Yes, the Tremor has the 350 rear suspension but based on the nominal dimensions I thought they would sit too close to the axle pad and engage too soon. Glad I went this route. I have ~1.25" of clearance unloaded, and they reduced the sag when the trailer is hooked up (1k-ish tongue) by 3/4". My hitch can adjust height in 1" increments so this puts me in between settings (I thought the nose of the TT was a hair too low). Took it out for a test drive and it doesn't feel dramatically different. Any change in the road surface is damped somewhat, though. RR crossings, expansion joints, etc. Overall feels a bit more planted. Small tweak overall but a step in the right direction:
