Tremors and Campers let's talk camping!!

Added a set of Timbrens to the rear of truck. I went with the ones spec'd for the F250 based on measurements on my truck. Yes, the Tremor has the 350 rear suspension but based on the nominal dimensions I thought they would sit too close to the axle pad and engage too soon. Glad I went this route. I have ~1.25" of clearance unloaded, and they reduced the sag when the trailer is hooked up (1k-ish tongue) by 3/4". My hitch can adjust height in 1" increments so this puts me in between settings (I thought the nose of the TT was a hair too low). Took it out for a test drive and it doesn't feel dramatically different. Any change in the road surface is damped somewhat, though. RR crossings, expansion joints, etc. Overall feels a bit more planted. Small tweak overall but a step in the right direction:

I added a set of Timbren FR350SDJ to my 22 F350 a few weeks ago. After install, I have the Timbren recommended 1/2" space between the Timbrens and the bump stop with truck unloaded, except for a 5th wheel hitch in the bed (approx 225#). Loaded with the trailer, I noticed considerably better ride and stability. Sag has improved too. As measured by the distance from ground to the wheel well opening, unloaded 45 1/2" to loaded 43 1/2". Without the Timbrens I was experiencing approximately 3" - 3 1/2" of sag. What I like about these over airbags is no airline install, maintenance or frequent air adjustments, and 10-20 mins to install. Have only pulled rig about 40 miles so far with the Timbrens and happy with performance so far.

Edit: forgot to add a few items. FR350SDJ are 8600# capacity, Trailer specs: 5th Wheel, 12,700# unloaded, pin approx 2600#.

Makes sense - I think with a heavier load more benefit will be realized. What is your pin weight on your 5er?

Edit: fixed my grammar :p

Yeah, I would say you have significantly more load than I do on the rear suspension! Mine is between 1000-1100lbs on the hitch which will be a bit more over the axle.

Recent purchase for work!

2020 Tremor, w/ 2020 Jayco Northpoint 373BHOK, Right at or slightly above the max pin weight. Depending on load. We have been all over the country with this setup for the last two years and haven't had an issue (knock on wood)

Sumo bags yellow on back and black on front 16,800 its a beast sadly our season is over and its all put away. My other F350 is a 7.3 and I would not want to pull this 5er with a 7.3. The 6.7 is amazing with it. But with 5.00 bucks per gallon its expensive to move this thing around.

Now I am going to swap the wheels and tires to the Factory Duratracs for winter and hopefully a good snowmobile season with lots of the white stuff.

The GD Solitude is a big load!

Exactly the same without the trailer. With the trailer, in certain situations, yes. The Timbrens essentially are adding spring rate to the system and the rubber compound adds some slight damping. It takes more to initiate a reaction from the trailer tongue now that would create an oscillation/bounce. When it does, it settles quickly. On my 20 mile test tow I was searching out things that may create noticeable trailer issues - RR track crossings, dips in the road, uneven sections of the highway, etc. In its current state my trailer probably weighs 8k so you definitely know it's back there but it feels less like a separate entity and more "one with the vehicle" now if that makes sense...

I'll add that I wasn't unhappy with the towing performance before, mainly wanted to get both vehicles as level as possible. The improvements are small but noticeable, so that was an added bonus. :)
Update... I pulled the camper to the dealer on Thursday to address a few warranty items. It was under 32deg and we hit a few areas of snow coming across from the west side of the state. Its about a 2hr trip one way so I was curious to have a longer tow with the Timbrens installed. I thought being so cold that I would experience some harshness, but it was not perceivably different. Overall it confirmed my thoughts on my test tow. Very happy with these!

That's good to hear. I'm excited to see what kind of difference it makes with my setup. We were planning a camping trip this weekend, but decided to cancel at the last minute due to the weather. (cold and raining here)
