Will Sulastic shackles work with the deaver packs?
I have no idea what a deaver pack is. I can tell you that the Sulasitcs replace the factory shackles without effecting anything else. If you still have the factory shackles, the Sulastics will replace them perfectly and tame down your ride significantly.

Edit - OK, looked up Deavers. If you are using replacement spring packs with the factory shackles I see no reason why the Sulastics would not work. On the other hand I'm not sure why you need both. That's up to you and your purpose I guess. To me the Sulastics make the Tremor suspension ride nearly perfect for a heavy duty truck.

I don't have the deaver packs yet. I'm planning on a carli set up and going to have the deavers installed at the same time. Was thinking about doing the schackles now...

Got ya. Again even lifted the shackles will replace factories exactly so it should soften the ride just the same.

I removed the giant factory 3.5" blocks and went with Deaver Progressive Add-a-Packs under my main leaf springs, while maintaining the overload leaf above. My truck rides like an F150 when unloaded, and it tows like any other F350 SRW as I did not lose any of the factory load carrying capacity.

Even with the 1-ton leafs, the truck still sags when carrying a heavy load, so I added Air Lift airbags with an onboard wireless controller to keep it level.

How hard were they to put on

I want to second this response. You will not get more satisfaction for the price than you will with Sulastic shackles. They are an easy 2 hour DIY install. Just watch a video or two.

I installed a set about a month ago and would never drive a one ton again without them. Absolutely no change you ride height or capacity and the truck feels like a half ton regarding the road joints and rumble strips. You're still going to feel the big bumps but the mild stuff that's so annoying in the heavy duty trucks almost disappear completely. No added weight needed. Trust me, you will be amazed!

For our model year trucks the shackles are side specific and there is definitely an order of installation steps that works best. Search the forum as somewhere I wrote up and explanation for the install.

SO how would these work while under load with an equalizer hitch? Seems like the hitch would stretch them out and force them down.
I am really interested but have also seen the reports of the rubber blowing out. I'm afraid the equalizer would exacerbate that.
Thoughts?

Under any significant load they extend fully. BTW a WD hitch forces weigh to the front axil so the effect would probably be much less than the actual tongue weight of the trailer. As a matter of fact I believe the down force on the rear axil is actually reduced slightly when a WD is used. That's the reason the tow vehicle sets more level with a WD hitch. This video illustrates this dynamic very clearly:

I don't believe the manufacturer advises against WD hitches in any way. If the shackle fails within 3 years they are fully warranted. It would be a good experiment to see how the shackle acts under WD conditions.

I’ll support the use of the sulastics but I have to give my perspective on the install - y’all got more skillz than me cause it took me WAY more than 2 hours to install and my kids claim it was a record number of swear words too!! 🥴. Worth it in the end though - they do what everyone claims. I ran them on my 2019 250…thinking about them for the tremor too. Wondering if the noticeable difference would be greater or less in 350 v 250 ??

The F250 and F350 Tremors are identical except for the badges and yellow sticker in the door jamb.

My comparison was on the 2019 F250 non-tremor that I previously owned that had 2 leaf's and an overload compared to my new 2022 Tremor F350 that I have now with the additional leafs. Had the shackles on the 250 and considering them now on the 350, but just pondering the possible difference if there would be any.

The Tremor is very stiff in the rear suspension stock, not much fun as a daily driver. The sulastics are a game changer.
The key to installing is to watch a few YouTube videos. Also the tools are pretty common but not everyone has a floor jack and proper jack stands to make the job safe and quick. A compact 1/2" impact wrench also makes things much faster.

You don't happen to have the part numbers for the deavers and the bags?
Thanks

So as I understand it the Deavers will replace the blocks and as just sticks of metal will require no long term maintenance with minimal impact with time. The Shackles do contain some type of elastomer which I assume has some finite life. Has anyone seen information on how long the operating life of the sulastics is?

I really like the add-a-pack route. I looked on Deaver's website but the only item I saw listed also provides added lift in the rear, which I would not want. Maybe that does not consider the replacement of the factory block? I was going to call them and speak directly with someone but haven't had the time.

I would be interested also would like to keep everything close to stock height as possible.
