Can’t say I understand the logic of a Lariat being excessive but justifying the Tremor upcharge for its wheels, tires, and a minor lift, but however you need to rationalize :)

Yes I know the front LSD and crawl mode add unique capability to Tremors, but question their value over things like LED headlights.

But how do I get one of those in black that says TRAMPER!??????

Ask him to make you one. I believe the first custom “tremor” badge cost someone $100, now he lowered the pricing to 70-80$ since he can reproduce them.

So I’ve heard of him before, but as I don’t use or have social media I think i may be SOL. I guess if the need becomes bad enough I’ll figure it out. But from what I could tell he doesn’t have a simple website to order from, you have to contact him on the socials. I suppose I can try go old fashioned Email before giving up! Thank you!

I think @Mister Bevilaqua reached him by email or tried to.

I guess it’s to each his own…. To me the Tremor seemed like a no-brainer. After lifting countless Jeeps/ Trucks ect. Always fighting with Caster, changing upper control arms, arguing with alignment shops over my desired settings, a factory “lift” albeit small was exactly what I wanted on my long term adventure vehicle.

I know this wasn’t directed to me but I’ll continue to respond just the same,

The Tremor wheels and tires are nothing special, Infact I sold my factory 35’s immediately and put in 37” AT3’s. 4.30 gears and a factory locker and LSD were very important to me, I know they are options on other trucks but if I’m paying for them anyway why not have them part of the package you are paying for? Crawl control, and even more importantly trail turn assist were also huge factors to me. I think the capability of a factory built Tremor is pretty amazing.

Now the Lariat, I don’t know. I got the SAP and Premium on mine anyway, I wanted 360 cameras, LED’s, BLIS system (since I have a truck camper), and folding mirrors. Lariat would’ve only been a few grand more but when I made my list of items on the truck I wanted and didn’t want the XLT covered exactly what I wanted.

Not sure if I’m correct or not but I was worried the Lariat would have some auto braking features that I simply didn’t want in an Offroad truck. Leather seats would have been ok, but since my plan from the beginning was to scrap the seats for a more premium and long term supportive seat it would have been money wasted.

I personally don’t have anything against the higher trim models but I will have to agree with the above poster. I find it hard to swallow that for ten thousand dollars or more you’re getting identical drivetrains and just really expensive seats and a radio. But to each their own. Judging from sales figures Ford is very smart to offer these premium trucks. Imagine going back in time telling your grandfather people are fighting and paying over asking price for a pickup truck that costs 4 times what his house cost…. And that the seats will massage his ass while he sits in it! Ha I know mine would probably have punched me in the face.

I’m starting to feel like these trucks are the houses of the 2008 crash, guess time will tell.

Base F350 XLT CCSB w/ 7.3 = $58,555 msrp
Base F350 Lariat CCSB w/ 7.3 = $67785 msrp

Difference = $9230 - $2195(options I added that would have been included w/Lariat) = $7035

Granted, you gain some extras along the way, but those are some expensive LED's. Tremor is a moot point as it would have been added a Lariat as well, and being on a Tremor forum, I'd see it as standard equipment.

All good points. Do you really feel you will keep this truck/camper long term? I am on the same threads on Expo as you so I know you have had your share of rigs.

I just hate cloth seats.
Light gray cloth especially. Personally I'd prob feel differently if it were black cloth or a woven nylon or neoprene or something. I've never understood why any work truck would be designed w/a light color interior...even in a luxury vehicle they show wear and dirt way more than a dark interior. Every used HD truck w cloth I looked at when shopping was gross af on the inside.

Agree completely.
My son wanted a Bronco for his first vehicle. Good kid so I caved. Let him build it back in July 2020 when the order banks opened. He selected a package with the Marine Grade Vinyl seats. Very comfortable seats, but man do they create the swamp ass in the summer. Zero breathability so they are very warm in the summer. I don't think he will take off the hard top as much as he planned in the warmer months.

Agreed, I know I am guilty of saying the same thing time and time and again. "This one I am keeping for the long haul" or "I can finally see myself keeping this one around for a while" but in reality I usually don't keep a vehicle for more than two or three years max and a lot of the time even less time than that. I am in the same forums with y'all so my track record is well documented lol.

That was my thinking on the Tremor package as well.

Same here buddy. Will probably be swapping this silver 23 Tremor for a silver 24 Tremor next week sometime. 🤣
My wife asked when I will have my "forever truck" as my neighbor calls his. Told her I wasn't sure she was my forever wife. LOL. Will probably get shanked when I get home tomorrow.

Well…. I hope so! I feel like cycling through other vehicles has taught me what I want and what I don’t in a vehicle. So what I would like is to keep this one for 10 years. I’m fairly certain that during that 10 years however I may own a smaller vehicle as well. Something like a Tacoma Offroad with 6ft bed and truck cap, something small and nimble that can carry my canoe on top but let me crash out of the elements in relative comfort. I think the Tremor/ Supertramp should suffice for any and all travel in the meantime.

Those big expedition vehicles just never appealed to me and unless the world really changes (like gas is $20/gallon) this one should have everything we need for the foreseeable future.

But…. Like most people in this game, you never know what’s next! I really thought my Khaya was the one…

That thinking is what lead me to add Air Conditioning to the camper. I was almost terrified to spend this much money and have it almost be the right camper…
