I'm still rocking the OEM blades - exact same ones that were delivered on my truck 4+ yrs ago! I have another set ready to go on when these finally give up the ghost. Maybe it's because I take my truck through a full contact carwash? 🤷‍♂️
I see what you did there. Poking the bear again.... 🤣🤣

I went with the RainX last time, and they suck compared to the factory OEM. I'll be giving the Bosch a whirl this time.

Which ones are you using ? We don’t have costcos around here when I go to the Michelin site there’s 5 different beam blades

It’s possible they might have a version that’s just sourced for Costco. This is what the boxes look like in the store.

LMFAO !!!!! You’ll a bunch of characters

Not sure if I got a bad set or not, but the ICONs I got developed a chatter/wobble on the passenger side bottom soon after install. Went back and got the OEM replacements and they have been better. Haven't had an issue with ICONs before, though.

the cheapest metal frame ones at Walmart

$9 each or so here

run them till they streak or the squeegee peels off

they do streak before they are actually gone bad

I'll clean the squeegee blade periodically

I'm bad with time periods & dates but it's years between new ones

I removed the wipers as soon as I bought the truck.

Remove the windshield and get a set of these for even more weight reduction.

This whole thread is a good example of how inconsistent wiper blades really are. Same brand, same model, and people get totally different results. A lot of it comes down to fit and pressure against the glass, not just the rubber. In markets where windscreen wiper blade fitment is matched to the exact make and model rather than a universal clip, that inconsistency mostly goes away. Might be worth looking at whether your local market has brands doing that kind of exact-fit matching, rather than just trying every "good" universal brand one at a time.

Don’t get me started lol I tried the Bosch ones everybody seems to like lasted maybe 3 months for me started smearing had good luck with rain-x blades in the past just bought a set barely a month smearing so that was $60 wasted then I just bought a set of motorcraft no idea who makes them but so far so good

I’m still on my pair of Costco Michelins wiping like new after two winters and almost two years of use, and all for some 16$ a pair. And I still have 4 pairs in reserve.
Wow I think the absolute longest I ever had a pair last was about a year and a half

Problem I have is that I park outside and my truck gets full sun. I put a reflective sunscreen in the windshield that doubles the amount of UV light the blades get as well as cooks them with how much it raises the temps of the glass. Wipers last about 3 months before they start skipping on the glass. Coating with RainX or similar products does nothing to extend the life of the blades.

I even asked A.I. how to solve the short lifespan and the only thing it could offer me is to lift the wiper arms so the blades are not in contact with the glass when parked.

After spending money on the top blades in the market and not getting any longer life out of them, I just buy them at Sam's Club or Costco and just have resigned myself to the shitty lifespan.

What are wiper blades? What do they do and where are they located? I don't think I have them on my truck. Hold on...

AI: "Since you live in Las Vegas, wiper blades are not needed. They are located on the lower portion of your windshield. If you remember, they came in handy when you went to Texas to wipe off the nasty ass bug splatter."

Ohhhh, gotcha. Yeah sorry I don't know any brand so therefore I can't recommend any.
