Best Wiper Blade Replacements

Found this thread at the perfect time as I’ve been shopping replacement blades today. Have been a Bosch guy, but am holding out to see how the scrub blades play out.

After the squeak video, I was out. Reminded me of waking up from a walk of shame in a trailer park with a rusty mattress…I digress. Let’s just say I’m happy that was resolved.

The bugs have been insane here and cleaning the windshield isn’t getting an easier for my old ass

Black Edition replacements came in today! Squeak is greatly diminished, but have a little one nonetheless on the passenger side; maybe because it's squeaky clean? 😅. Wonder if I should polish the glass next.

I think the squeaking will be an issue with any double wiper and probably why none of the major wiper brands do it. The first blade moves most of the water and the second blade essentially drags on a dry windshield in light rain.

Had the first giant bug smash the windshield today and the Black Edition cleared the bug itself off nicely, but left a little bit of juice/guts on the windshield. Did it immediately after the bug hit as to not let it bake on in the sun.

Will be looking to see how well it works on clearing venison next. 🦌

I think I could live with a small squeak like that if they are highly effective. It's chatter I really hate.

Brrrrr ump bump. Whats the last thing that goes through the bugs mind when it hits the windshield? (Here's your que...) :ROFLMAO:

Too many ideas to choose from for that splat, I mean, split second.

Final videos on the Black Edition blades. Got to actually use them in the rain today with no noticeable noise.

How would you say these compare to other blades you've tried? About the same? Significantly better/worse?
These work good for clearing of debris/mud, but other than that any silicone wiper would probably be more ideal with less resistance for normal things like rain.

Thanks for testing these out for all us interested folks. Based on your reports and videos, I now have this idea rattling around in my head to buy a set and swap them in and out with another more conventional set for the worst of bug season and for the snows of winter. I'd sure get my moneys worth out of that Builtright rear seat release by stashing the off season blades back there and I'd always have spares in case of damage to the installed set.
