British ColumbiaWhere are you hunting?
My buddies usually go out for deer, elk, and bison. Most have .300 win mags. I’m just looking for more opinion to form my own.Depends on exactly what and where you’re hunting. Got a 300 WM but not my favorite gun by any means. Thought I’d like it a lot more, but it’s a little particular for me. 30-06 is adequate, but again, not my favorite. Much prefer the 45-70, but then again I have a predilection for lever action rifles.... I’m sure one of the more dedicated hunters here will have a more informed opinion, depending on what and where.
One of my fav rifles! Also I follow you on InstagramWho in here likes SR-25s?
I’ve got 11 of them in the safe. This one is my favorite.
Factory SR-25 DSR 14.5” 7.62x51 with dedicated direct-thread suppressor tucked under the rail.
Best 7.62 carbine ever created.

As a responsible gun owner, you should only use your firearm if your life (or lives' of others in your vicinity) are in unavoidable danger. Leaving a situation if you can or de-escalation is the responsible thing to do, not "walk down your driveway and do work." For being ex-police, ex-military, ex-special forces, ex-federal agent, ex-whateverthefuckyouwanttomakeup, you sure are a fucking idiot.Nope, not at all, it’s typical of the idiots who talk shit about loosing guns in a boating accident to turn tail and run when it’s time to walk down the driveway and do work
I guess he doesn't get the meaning of losing them in a boating accident. As a responsible gun owner, you should only use your firearm if your life (or lives' of others in your vicinity) are in unavoidable danger. That's bigger country than where I hunt most of the time. I had a 30-06 when I hunted in Montana, but many others I was with had a 338 lapua mag. I was able to use one for the elk I took home. The 30-06 would have been ok, but my scope was knocked apparently during the flight out.British Columbia

ISO invite to be this persons friend...^^^ TRUE DAT! Knew a guy who had a vault! You walked to the back of his 'closet' (a good 400 SF) and pushed the very well hidden button which opened the floor to ceiling shelves. The vault was a good 150SF. Bear in mind we're talking about a guy with a regulation range in the basement of his 3500SF pool house. The range has a $75K bullet collector and air purification system.
