What’s in your gun safe?

Dragon man, now he is a wild character for sure
YES he is. He also works (or use to) on Harley-Davidson engines. He definitely has quite the "gun playground"!!! He use to work on Harley-Davidson engines. He REQUIED everyone to ship the engines...even local people. Told me he refused to argue with anyone over his work. Probably a good thing he did this.....otherwise, I could imagine an irate biker at the business end of serious firepower!

Think I recall you mentioning "Battle Mountain" in a different thread on here. Very Scenic there......and also the Snowy Range east of there. Was through there twice this past summer. For any other details or if you have questions...you can send a PM.

Lots of chatter about non-2A LEOs - my experience from decades in the field is that most LEOs are pro 2A. And that is from a California perspective. I have met a few, but they are in a serious minority.

Think about it, why are cops allowed to own guns the general population can not?

How many cops are pro gun Vs don’t give a shit?

Once you stop selling guns to cops that the people can not own, stop allowing them to carry hi cap magazines that the citizens can not own, you will see a change in mentality as well as more and more cops jumping on the pro 2A bandwagon

Why is it gun makers want factories in pro 2A states, are moving to pro 2A states and yet making millions of dollars selling to cops in non 2 a states, it’s all about money & they talk out their ass about supporting the 2nd amendment

Look at NY, NJ,MA, Kalif and see what guns, what ammo, what magazines the cops can own/use and then how the legal gun owning citizen can not even own/use what the cops can

Why are cops allowed privileges not afforded to the citizens
Again, you are talking about decisions made at the top, not the LEO on the street. The traitors at that level will buy from the companies outside the USA. Besides, the gun you want to withhold from the average LEO is the least of the tyranny. They have riot gear, NODs, APC's, all kinds of stuff we are not going to have. We only have 2 things to our advantage. We have numbers, and we have more than half of their people who will not violate their oath. I estimate 30% maybe 35% will follow the traitors for a paycheck. The others will not. Those 2 things are probably enough to turn any attack but not without casualties.

You are not hearing what I am saying and do not understand what I am trying to explain to you

I am not talking about decisions made at the top, but at what is for sale to LEO’s you have no idea how many cops can and do purchase off list firearms in Calif using personal funds and not department issued/purchased funds

Same as in other states that restrict what the citizen can purchase

You also are assuming and guessing how many cops are pro gun Vs not pro gun and how many will not do as instructed Vs how many will do exactly as told to keep a job and paycheck

Bottom line, if a state restricts what firearm can and can not be sold to a law abiding citizen, thrn the state needs to knife by the same rules

Depends on who and where you are, east coast is different that West coast & more and more new officers are anti gun and tons and tons of feds are anti gun for the citizen

Look at all the different LEO’s across the country enforcing health department mask and vaccine mandates that are NOT law, but they were told to enforce them or not have a job

We are seeing the old “just doing what I’m told” excuse over and over and over again

I agree with you. The citizen should have access to the same gear as the LEO's. I also agree that the LEO's get to choose from a list. What I am saying is even if you pulled your firearm from that list in protest, the decision makers would just use Glock or H&K, Beretta, or Sig. That is not a battle you can win. Your boycott would be futile.

I agree with you again. The mask mandates are terrible and the LOE's are "just doing their job", but when it's no longer a petty act of wearing a mask v. going to war over the 2A, I think that is when they will draw the line. Maybe I'm wrong. I think we soon may find out.

Yes the bean counters would just jump ship and go with somebody else, but then they would have to get new magazines, holsters and other assorted gear, plus spend the time/money in range qualifications for officers going to a new firearm

Lots of behind the scenes costs associated with switching firearms, plus look what happens when you take away guns the cops like and force them to use something they do not like or want.

Take a look at Calif’s firearms list, what the law abiding citizens are forced to legally own & then think about all the Calif LEO’s being forced to only use these firearms and how losses they would be.

NJ refuses to allow citizens the usage of hollow point bullets, so force LEO’s to only use ball ammo, or states that restrict magazine capacity, force LEO’s in those states to carry the same magazines the citizens can own.

It’s like playing chess, not a fast/easy game of checkers

I have a few. Here are a couple of old school ones.

"Barrett will not sell to or service any California or New York government agencies."

Have a major problem, need more boomsticks and the wife has the combo to the safe, can’t sneak in anything without her knowing

Do like me and have two other safes in the shop that are full as well and she doesn’t know the combo and never asked because she doesn’t think about it because see doesn’t see it very often , it’s a lot easier to get things pat her this way lol.

Who cleans guns?? All I do is bore snake with Slip2000, wipe em down and lube with Slip2000, have not done more then that in years

Windex and Clorox Wipes work great for cleaning guns...quick and easy...especially stainless steel., but have to be careful cleaning blued guns.

Tell the wife you are considering guitar lessons, then purchase one of these for Operation Sneaky --------->

Looks like one USA company has done what "TJ" was asking for, and I applaud them. It won't move the needle much but it's a good move.
Boom. That makes me want to invest on that long time .50 I want.

I have a m82a1 with the 20”barrel. Its fun but very limited as to where you can shoot it. really more of a bucket list thing to let friends shoot and say wow.
the bolt guns are more accurate but my semi auto has never left me wanting more as im shooting gi grade ammo anyway. Plus having 9 more rounds instantly available is kinda cool too.

That’s exactly how my family rolls. Making peoples bucket lists come true. They have a few .50s, but not that Barrett. That is super sexy. Thankfully they have the ammo as well. Lol

Yeah, I'd love an M82A1 but that much change is too high for a serious plan. Right now I'm spending that coin on water, food, and solar.
Smart. You just never know how this all will end up.
