What have you 3D printed?

3D Printed an iPhone shelf for the camper today.

I 3d printed a fuel cap holder that is affixed with 3m double sided tape. My original design just had the letters extrude cut into the angled surface but I just got a new Bambu lab X1C at work so I was able to instead go multicolor. Printed in PETG. I have an Ender 3 at home and the Bambu is seriously impressive with how fast it can go while maintaining the print quality and the AMS is really great too. I was making fridge/toolbox magnets before by printing all of the colors separately and then gluing parts together, but now I can print all in one shot.

I also would like to make mounts for my traction boards and Krazy Beaver shovel, potentially for the BuiltRight bulkhead rail. Those would probably be in PA6-GF. I have a 3d scanner at work also so definitely could design some other parts as well.

Would you share the cap holder file? I got a Bambu X1C now.

The attached is an STL file and is the older version without the letters. I will upload the newer version tomorrow, it is saved on my other computer.

Top of the line and the one I want is the Bambu Carbon X1 Combo. It just plain print great every single time. It prints multi colors.
But it will cost you. $1500.
It all just depends on how much you want to spend on one.
I can confirm this. I have the X1C without the AMS system. Its been a great printer. I'm glad i spent the money b/c I wanted one that I could just plug in and start printing.
ONLY issue i've had is I cant get it the wireless print setup. I have to use a microsd card. Hasnt been a big enough issue for me to care to figure out though.

Attached are the files for the version that can be printed in multicolor. Big thanks to BroncOh for uploading the logo vector file which I used for this.

The network monitoring and printing are really great features. I like how it has an internal camera so I can monitor it while I am at my desk.

For anyone thinking about an X1C, bambu just started the black friday sale - $250 off.
I ordered mine yesterday.

Get one everyone. My only regret on the X1C is that I bought it a week before the window for the discount refund of this sale. I was thinking, how could I kill more time at work, so I printed these marble runs:

I printed these today. I know I've got license for this hobby now that my wife asked how to search the sites I'm using for these models. FYI - learn OnShape if you want to design your own practical items. It's free. I know CAD from years ago, but it's not the same as these new parametric programs.

Have my cart filled and ready but I’m waiting on their new build plate offering on the 12th. I may do it sooner though. Sale goes into December.

Get the printer now with the regular build plate and get everything setup and running.
Then after Nov 12, order the new build plate (doesn't hurt to have multiple options) and a couple more rolls of filament (figure out what to get).
It's free shipping over $50.
At least this is my plan.

FYI, assuming you get it with the AMS, it comes with some free filament to play with while you decide. I have to say that shipping of the printer will be basically overnight, but filament takes a week or so, at least to the Northwest. I ordered some nozzles and silk PLA filament on sale now, but also am waiting for the Nov 12 announcements before ordering more stuff. I am interested in the AMS being able to feed soft filaments. We'll see what that means soon enough...

printed some depth gauges to determine the exact height of my spare tire relative to the plate that holds the lifting mechanism.
My two AZs are going in the two cavities on the pass/driver side of that plate once i get a mount built.

PLA basic is the best. If you prototype like i do, order in bulk. I get free shipping and am getting the 1kg rolls for $15/each. Also, if you prototype print in BRIGHT colors. Hella easier to see in darker/shadowed areas and sharpie shows up nice.

Print a poop bucket. I had the slide that comes around but its held up by a few magnets that seem to slip as it prints. it already sits off the wall, big bucket means i'll just dump every now and then.

get a filament heater. Itll dry our your filaments like ASA/PC and others that are sensitive to moisture. PLA i've not had an issue with but i still run it in the heater.

When you buy filament, buy WITHOUT the spool if you can. I have WAY more spools than I need b/c some only come on a spool.

Lastly, i've not tried recently but i've never been able to wireless connect my slicer to my printer. I can connect everything to wifi but havent got them talking so i use a microsd on everything. If yall figure out this issue, please advise.

Can you provide any more info or errors you get when trying to send a print wirelessly? I have a personal X1C and have one at work. I'm getting more familiar with it

It’s tempting but I’m traveling for work anyway so no time to play with it.

I think I was at 12 unique rolls for my order. Plus some refills. Debating a second AMS.

I just cant get the slicer application to recognize the printer on my network. No errors. Just doesnt connect.
