WARN Winch Option, Updates?

Spoke with someone from Vice about developing one, and I sent him our forum link to join. Hopefully we can spike enough interest for them to develop it!

Thanks Brett. Yeah I'm still in the research stage but the goal is to extend out integrated winch mounting kits into the Alumiduty range of trucks.

As with the RAM trucks, the diesel is the most difficult to package - due to the various cooling systems that generally take up that space. I've got some idea on how to tackle these, and make it backwards compatible with the 2017-2019's.

One of the things I'd really like to offer is placing the clutch control lever right on the bumper to make it super easy to operate. We currently do this with a special adapter we developed for the Warn VR EVO winches.

If you don't want to wait to mount a winch - I do build these ;)

@VICE Design Thank you for joining here. We look forward to anything you guys come up with and can do to make our truck community better.

What i am understanding the best way is once on of you get the winch take it apart and figure out how they did it so we can all have the winch and not have to have the 3k option added and buy a winch and do it with any winch.... i don't want to get a steel bumper for a winch just yet but maybe later.

While not a super helpful post (no part numbers) and pictures without me in them (so no beer, yet!) here is my F350 with the winch. I pick it up Friday so I’ll be able to hopefully provide real info then. Without further ado...

Try taking the bumper off and taking alot of pictures .... see if the winch winch has a part number ..... everything has a sticker ... it has to be on there

My truck is suppose to arrive at the dealership tomorrow, the parts dept said they should have a part number for me when I pickup my truck.

Looks like yours is the 7.3, I want to see one on a diesel! :) Congrats BTW.

Hans....OMG......there are about 800 jealous MO FOs on this forum right now....holy SH!!T!!!!!

Congrats......the mythical winch is now reality

I am NOT withholding the TEN Bucks because it aint a diesel either....you earned it First production Tremor with a winch!(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)

LOL....take the bumper off!.........NO!

That's awesome! You have an amazing looking truck!

I also want to see how in the heck that winch fits on a 6.7L. There is going to have to be some kind of a relocation for the cooling system parts in the way.

So not good news from the Ford dealer, yes they're building them on new truck builds. But Ford hasn't released them official for individual purchase, therefor they don't have a part number in the system yet for it. When I was picking up my truck the GM had the parts dept call Ford Corporate as well.

Start saving your money now, or hopefully @VICE Design comes up with something before then.

The winch option is on the 2021 order for gasser or diesel, on diesel it requires the bigger alternator but so does rapid heat..
